At least in Australian Rules Football that is.

Canada entered teams in the USAFL National Championships in Colorado Springs and made history by coming ome winners in division one - not just for the men's, but also the women's.

The game has come a long way in Canada and this is proof.

The national team defeated USA for the first time last year, this year we ended the International Cup in Melbourne Australia higher than the USA and now we have the best clubs in the whole of North America.

Division One Men's winners - Vancouver

Final Scores:

Vancouver 4.4 28 def. Baltimore Washington 2.0 12

Division One Women's winners - Calgary

Final Scores
Calgary 4.4.28 def. Atlanta 3.5.23

Perhaps it was the cold weather, or perhaps just luck. I'm pretty sure it is just because we are born to be better ;)

Congratulations !

I watched the AFL's final game a few weeks ago with my girlfriend... her team was playing in the finals for the first time in a decade or so..... and they won.

I must say that their football is a hell of a lot more interesting then the CFL/NFL style football.

And no, for those who don't know.... it's not soccer or rugby. It's its own game.

Funny thing was I didn't know we even had teams that played this football.

That is a tricky one. I assume it is in Canada.

I'm just going to guess. Ontario? St. Catherines?

But is it a particular sport stadium?

No sir, it is located in the U.S. and the school has a glorious history in college football.

If it okay with you. No peaking.

Oh boy. I would have to say that by horeshoe you mean it is open ended.

Colorado?

The Orange Bowl where Miami plays was open as well.

Eagle,

According to my stateside sources (within view & attendance) you are incorrect.

Sorry,

Ohio State. That is a good trivia question.

I have been to quite a few college football games. I've been to Notre Dame, Miami, UNC, Annapollis, West Point, Syracuse and a number of others.

Scratch...I believe you... BUT...there has to be more to that question. The Orange Bowl where Miami played had a horseshoe shape. West Point also has a horseshoe. When I am thinking horseshoe I am thinking that one endzone is open with no seating.

Sorry Scratch... I don't want to discourage you from throwing more trivia at me but although Ohio State is called "The Horseshoe" or "The Shoe" it is not the only stadium designed like a horseshoe. If you actually see Ohio State stadium...it isn't a horseshoe at all. All four side of the stadium is surrounded by seating.

If I were you I grab your stateside friends within reach and strangle them! ;-)

Eagle,
I had this info with me for a while.
I am far from an expert on stadiums....anywhere.

But since you mentioned `trivia`....where is the `Big Owe`?
Why was it built?
Who designed it?
Was he paid in full?
If he was paid...how much was he paid?

Who plays there now...off and on?

Is it safe?

Is there another off shute....of this?

Was it dismantled?

Trivial Pursuit....2008 Sport Canadian/Olympic Addition!

On the flip side...

Oh Brother...I would have no idea and keeping with the spirit of the game I won't look it up.

So here is one for you... In College Football...what Stadium is knows as "Death Valley"?

This should be easy if you know your football. Which stadium is known as "The Swamp"?
