Today, on the occasion of the conclusion of the IX Paralympic Winter Games, the Right Honourable Stephen Harper, P.C., M.P., the Member for Calgary Southwest and the Prime Minister of Canada, extended his congratulations to the Canadian paralympic team for their hard work and dedication in representing Canada abroad.

Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper[/color], P.C., M.P.,]I want to extend my congratulations to our Canadian athletes and coaches, who have worked so hard over the course of the Paralympic Games to achieve their best performances and who have represented Canada so well on the world's stage.

Throughout these Games, you have demonstrated what can be achieved through consistent effort, dedication and conviction. You are true role models for all Canadians and I salute you.
