Early observations on the "new NHL" anyone?

- Under the new rules for obstruction we find out that Lindros is a FINESSE player, maybe wins the scoring title this year{who knew?

- Cloutier is the weak point in Vancouver

- Oilers and Montreal enjoy the faster game;

- Ryan Smyth injured, Sundin with a puck in the eye, and someone else went down too - injury at high speed?

_ The Bertuzzi thing [booing in Edm] is getting a bit old. He did his time [suspension] and let it rest now, apolgies to Moore who is still injured [ it was part of the game eh. ]

Yea - HNiC is BAAAAAACK!!!!

Damn! It's a shame we don't catch Coach's Corner here. That was one part of Hockey Night in Canada I always looked forward to.

When it comes to hockey, Don Cherry tells it like it is.

Not exactly. An agreement in Principal has been reached but as you can see from the link above the labour disruption is still having an effect. IE Nascar_James will not be able to watch Grapes via the internet.

For the first time in more than a year, Hockey Night in Canada returned to Canadians on Saturday. The regular weekly TV ritual with Ron McLean and Don Cherry had been absent last season due to the labour dispute that stopped NHL play - and there was some doubt about whether it would return this season, due to a CBC lockout that started in mid-August

But the NHL is back with new rules this fall, and with a tentative agreement in place to end the CBC lockout, the Corporation and its Canadian Media Guild employees agreed that guild members would work at their normal jobs for major CBC TV sports coverage on the Thanksgiving Day weekend.

The agreement meant that the NHL game between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs was telecast by the normal crew, along with the Ottawa game which was shown on a CBC regional network, and a later game from Edmonton.

And Voila! The link now works

It did not work yesterday, that was my point. Lock outs can end but the lights don't come back on all at once. You will note that it is up but not as of yet updated. All the coaches corners links are from 2004.
