In the Euro championship, mighty England crushed Russia 1-1 yesterday, on its way to an inevitable 86th consecutive Euro championship.

A reporter caught up with famed half-forward Basil Lagerlout vomiting in a gutter on Buggery Street in London's trendy Cesspit district, and asked him for a comment. Rambone said "Well, we 'ad to do it fer the Queen, wot? It's the old luv's birfday, wot? God save 'er. Great t*ts on that one, wot? Had to beat the bloody Jerries for her" before passing out in a puddle of his own puke.

Just that Engerland is the greatest football side in the history of the world, having never lost or drawn a single match ever. Engerland is so great the UEFA is considering disqualifying them for violence where the Engerlish fans were simply the pure, innocent victims of Russian thugs, just to stop the mighty Engerland machine from winning it's 86th consecutive Euro championship.

The violence in the streets was instigated by the mainly Arab Marseille ultras, who have a reputation for football hooliganism all around France. This has been confirmed by the police and by bar owners, who have said that the English fans were on their best behaviour until the Arab Marseille ultras turned up and starting threatening the English fans with knives. At least one England fan had a knife held to his neck. The English fans were defending themselves (unlike American fans who would have turned and run from the Marseille ultras, the English stand their ground and fight back).

As for the violence in the Stade Velodrome, that was instigated purely by the Russian ultras, and UEFA are taking no action whatsoever against the English.

As for UEFA threatening to ban England and Russia, I think it's digusting that UEFA are threatening such a thing for England when no England fans have started any trouble. And I think it's digusting that UEFA have not threatened France with expulsion from the tournament when it was their fans in the Islamic Republic of Marseille who instigated the violence in the streets. Yet again, the behaviour of the French football hooligans is being ignored, as it was in the 1998 World Cup in France.

Precisely. No Engerlish fan has ever, ever been anything but peaceful and gentlemanly. Why, I recollect when the Islamic radicals killed 32 people in Belgium and blamed Engerland. Shocking!

Sorry. No England fans have instigated any violence at Euro 2016. Any violence they have taken part in was an act of self defence. Other countries have far worse football hooligans than England has.

That's what I just said. Just like 1985, the Engerlish are being blamed for the evils of others.

1985 was 31 years ago.

In the 1940s, the Germans put millions of innocent people into the gas chambers.

For that reason, Germany should be kicked out of Euro 2016.

Matthew Wright on Channel 5's The Wright Stuff this morning was talking about how the English fans are being treated unfairly by the authorities. He and his three celebrity guests were looking at today's papers and they were looking the story of two England fans having been jailed for rioting in Marseille. He pointed out - as I already have - that the instigators of the violence on the streets of Marseille before the England vs Russia match were not England fans but Marseille fans - Marseille 'ultras' - who are composed largely of Muslim men and who are known throughout France for their thuggish behaviour at football matches. England fans were behaving perfectly well until the Arab Marseille ultras turned up and started goading them and threatening them with knives. Yet here we England fans having been arrested and imprisoned for taking part in violence which was largely the England fans defending themselves, yet not one of the Arab Marseille ultras who started the violence in the first place have been arrested and imprisoned and nor, for that matter, have any of those organised, uniformed Russian ultras who started the violence in the Stade Velodrome during the England vs Russia match been arrested and imprisoned yet, despite the fact that UEFA has said that it is only looking to sanction the Russian FA for the violence and is not taking any action against England whatsoever. So it seems odd that only England fans have been arrested and imprisoned even though none of the violence was instigated by England fans.

Also, UEFA cannot kick England out of Euro 2016 because UEFA do not have any juristiction outside football stadia. So UEFA cannot punish teams for their fans rioting in the streets. It can only punish teams for their fans rioting and causing treouble in stadia. Which means it can kick Russia out for the trouble in the Stade Velodrome but it can't kick England out, because UEFA have said England fans were entirely blameless for the trouble in the stadium.

It also seems that many of the "England" fans causing trouble in Marseille aren't even English:

England fans embroiled in violence in Marseille on Saturday night have said groups of Russian hooligans launched “savage coordinated attacks” around the city, disguised in English club shirts and equipped with gumshields and telescopic truncheons.

Can't wait to see the Welsh beat the pants off of the English. I wonder if Rich Rooney will choke again like he did during the last World Cup?

The two sides have played each other 101 times (I think only England and Scotland have played each other more times than any other international sides have played each other). Out of those 101 matches, Wales have won only 14. Wales have not beaten England since 1984, during the annual British Championships (which is now defunct).

England will win their emaining two matches in the group against Wales and Slovakia. Wales, though, are going to find it extremely tough to beat both England and Russia. They weren't that brilliant against little Slovakia, and they were thrashed 3-0 by Sweden just a few days before this tournament started.

Yeah, but it's a big tourney and the English always choke when it counts.

Euro 2016: FA has 'serious concerns' over Lille security

BBC News
14 June 2016

A French prosecutor says there were around 150 Russian "hooligans" who travelled to Marseille "well-prepared for violence". The French are deporting some of them out of the country

The FA has "serious concerns" about security in Lille, where England fans and Russian supporters are set to gather for this week's Euro 2016 matches, chairman Greg Dyke has said.

England fans are due to be in Lille ahead of Thursday's match against Wales in nearby Lens, while Russia play Slovakia in the city on Wednesday.

Six England fans were jailed after the teams drew 1-1 on Saturday.

Groups of Russian fans are being deported from the country.

Prosecutors say 150 Russian hooligans were behind the violence in Marseille.

Twenty nine Russian supporters are being escorted to the airport, Alexandr Shprygin, head of the Russian Union of Supporters, tweeted.

Two Russians have been arrested, both for a pitch invasion.

Both teams could face expulsion by Uefa, the organisers of Euro 2016, if there is any further violence.

Is Russia exporting a new breed of football hooligan?
Q&A: Who is to blame for the violence?
What do Russian fans say?

FA chairman Greg Dyke

In a letter to Uefa in response, Mr Dyke rejected the suggestion that England fans were at fault for scenes inside the Stade Velodrome following the match with Russia.

"The implication in your jointly-addressed letter is that English fans were in part responsible for the terrible incidents at the end of the match with Russia," he wrote.

"This is contradicted both by the video evidence and by the fact your independent disciplinary bodies have only instigated sanctions against the Russian Football Union."

He said the stewarding in the stadium was "unacceptable" as supporters were able to get in with fireworks and flares, and there was "insufficient segregation" between England and Russian fans.

"A minority of English fans were clearly involved in some of those incidents and that is extremely disappointing to us all, but please also recognise that tens of thousands have behaved in a positive way," he wrote.

The FA welcomed an alcohol ban across the host cities, he said, "particularly in Lille on Wednesday where many English fans have been asked to gather ahead of Thursday's match against Wales in Lens".

England fans had been advised to stay in Lille because Lens is a small city.

"We have, following consultation with the authorities, advised our supporters without tickets for the match in Lens to congregate there," Mr Dyke wrote.

"Whilst we will be working hard to positively influence their behaviour we have serious concerns around the security arrangements for the city in the next few days.

"These concerns are heightened with the knowledge that Russia will play in Lille on Wednesday afternoon."

Uefa is due to deal with its disciplinary proceedings against Russia later.

Charges against Russia are for crowd disturbances, racist behaviour, and setting off fireworks during the game against England in Marseille.

The clashes in Marseille's Stade Velodrome on Saturday followed England's 1-1 Euro 2016 draw with Russia, after Russian fans appeared to rush at England supporters.

Witnesses said trouble began in the stadium on Saturday after flares were let off by Russian fans near the end of the game. Some then climbed across barriers designed to keep rival fans apart.

A number of Russia supporters appeared to kick and punch fleeing England fans, who were forced to clamber over fencing to escape.

Some 35 people have been injured - four seriously, and most of them England fans - and a total of 20 people have been arrested after three days of disorder in Marseille.

Andrew Bache, from Portsmouth, is in a coma with severe brain injuries after being attacked in France ahead of Saturday's Euro 2016 game.

Some Russia supporters had smuggled in flares which they set off at the end of the match

The former head of the government's National Counter Terrorism Security office told BBC Radio 5 Live that French police had a "very difficult job" as they were operating while under the threat of terrorism.

But Chris Phillips added: "They've not learned from many years of experience, certainly that we in the UK have had, around dealing with disorder and dealing with crowds of people".

Dr Joel Rookwood, from Southampton Solent University, told 5 Live that to many Russian fans England "represented the ultimate enemy" and was seen as the inventor of football hooliganism.

He said beating England in fights off the pitch was "akin" to beating them on it.

Meanwhile, England manager Roy Hodgson and captain Wayne Rooney appealed directly to fans to "behave themselves".

Wales fans without tickets for Thursday's Euro 2016 match against England have been urged not to travel to host city Lens or nearby Lille.

But thousands of supporters are expected to follow the action at fan zones in the Place Jean Jaures in Lens and Lille, which is 24 miles away.

More than 35,000 ticket holders are due to watch the clash in the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

Greg Dyke said there was "insufficient segregation" between England and Russian fans during Saturday's match

Five England fans were jailed for throwing bottles at police and a sixth jailed in connection with the violence which broke out over three days in the city of Marseille.

The men, aged from 20 to 41, all appeared at court on Monday and were given sentences of between one and three months.

In a separate incident not related to the disorder in Marseille, a Northern Ireland football fan died after falling from a promenade in Nice following the team's 1-0 defeat by Poland.

No, they don't.

If England play against Wales the way they played against Russia, Wales will have no chance. England's performance in that match was the most impressive by any team so far.

Don't be ridiculous. Engerland has never lost a match. Ever. And Engerlish fans have never, ever done anything wrong.

England have not lost against Wales for 32 years. Out of the 101 times they've played each other - mostly in the now defunct annual tournament featuring the teams from the British Isles (the British Home Championship, which ended in 1984, with Northern Ireland winning that last tournament, which is why the NI fans like to say they are still the British champions) - Wales only managed to win 14, with England winning 66.

England's performance against Russia on Saturday night was the most impressive of all the teams at the tournament so far. Wales are also largely a one-man team - without Gareth Bale they'd be f*cked, and may not have even qualified for Euro 2016. My money for Thursday's match is for England to win.

3. A "suspended disqualification" means that the penalty is suspended unless an incident "of a similar nature" happens during this event.

French authorities have started deporting Russian hooligans

Something else we need to bear in mind here - Russia are hosting the 2018 World Cup. England, as we all know, had the best bid, yet FIFA handed the tournament to oil-rich Russia, and there has been controversy ever since that decision.

Now, we can all see the great mistake FIFA made in handing the 2018 tournament to Russia. Russia should be stripped of it and England should be made the hosts.

Not a single word of this is remotely factual. You definitely like exerting a lot of effort writing unconvincing nonsense.

What the hell are you talking about? England let up a goal during injury time after being up 1-0 for much of the game. It wasn't anywhere near impressive, and neither team seems very good.

England are notorious chokers and that English goalkeeper Joe Hart is one of the worst
