Leicester City WAGs (Wives and Girlfriends) are sure to have their eyes on this £225,000 ring which was inspired by the Premier League trophy itself.

The giant sparkler features a 5.01 carat central diamond set inside a yellow gold crown surrounded by blue sapphires.

The ring has two gold lions facing each other on the silver band and will be engraved on the inside with the total number of points notched up by the new champions (either 80, 81 or 83).

Leicester-based jewellers Lumbers will produce the same number of rings as the team's final points tally - which would be as many as 83 if they beat Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday (15/5).

Leicester-based jewellers Lumbers have created a unique diamond ring in the Leicester City colours costing £225,000 in celebration of their historic Premier League win

Leicester-based jewellers Lumbers will produce the same number of rings as the team's final points tally - which would be as many as 83 if they beat Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League season on Sunday (15/5).

Foxes stars including Jamie Vardy, who is marrying Becky Nicholson this month, will have the chance to buy the ring which matches their shirt number.

Members of the public can also purchase the rock, with orders being accepted after Sunday's game.

The design for the ring is based on the Premier League cup won by Leicester City last week

Dominic Gomersall, managing director for Lumbers, revealed the business was talking to 'a number' of the Leicester players about the ring.

He said: 'We've made this ring because I think it's a one-off occasion. Whether or not Leicester can maintain this level of success, we want to be part of the celebration.

'We have a long standing partnership with the club and we wanted to show them our support.

The lions on the ring are the same as the lion which appeared on the three Premier League logos used between 1992 and 2007 (above, the first Premier League logo used from 1992 to 2001)

'If the owners are interested in getting one, we would be looking to reinvest the money they pay for the ring back in to the club over the next few years.

'A mock-up of the larger ring is available to view now and a smaller version mock-up will be ready next week.'

Lumbers are also producing a smaller version of the ring with a 0.50 carat diamond with a white gold band and sapphires which costs £2,995.

There is also another version with a blue sapphire as the feature stone and with clear diamonds which will be sold for £1,950.

Dominic added: 'I don't think any of us can believe what they have achieved. The size of their achievement isn't comparable as it goes across so many boundaries.

'The success of this has to be put down to the owners and what they're doing for the city. The club has brought a great sense of pride to the area.

'Claudio Ranieri is also a great statesman and has a real grace and stature about him that makes him a fantastic person to represent the city and county.'
