It was all over before the last rock was thrown in the Skins games today and Canada walked away with a huge victory over the European Team. Canada started with a lead in the first game of the tourney and never looked back. They reached the magic number of 30.5 as Mike McEwen - aka Mighty Mike - took a point in the 6th end of his match against Nik Edin giving the Canadians all they needed to hoist the Cup.

What was of note in this tourney was the average age of the contestants - 24. The oldest competitor being Thomas Ulsrud at the ripe old age of 47. It is wonderful to see so much talent in the younger generation who will carry the torch for Canada in the coming years.

The Skins competition continues tonight but now it is all about the money.

Rock on Canada! :canada:

And Canada takes every skins game and all the money including an extra $12 grand put up especially for tonight's match by Western Financial Group who host the CC. The final points score was Canada 42 - Europe 18.

Nice to see our young curlers on their game should be a great Pinty's in Banff - looking forward to some really spectacular curling.

Nicely done Canada. :canada:
