As the story goes, Nanook, the angry-looking polar bear in an Edmonton Eskimos jersey, was born in a region with some of Canada’s most inhospitable weather. Seventeen years ago, he began a journey south, finding “shelter in the biggest, strongest looking building he could find — Commonwealth Stadium.”
