Sports fans all over seem to get pretty agitated at times. Guy trying to catch a flyball at a baseball game got killed recently, about a decade ago there was a stampede at a soccer game in Ghana that killed over 100 people, Brits seem to riot a lot at soccer games, some cop ran over a Tour de France fan a few years ago, a Phillies fan was beaten to death in the same year, a Dutch goaltender was almost kicked to death at a soccer game by a fan right as he was tending goal, etc.

Isn't that why they got to these events. Nothin' like a little gore to keep the heart healthy and the adrenaline junkies happy.
Brazil isn't the most successful footballing nation in the world - with five World Cup wins - for nothing.
I can't remember there being any football riots here recently.
