Thanks Scott Free, at this time in my life and with all of my life experiences, I often wondered about God. I believe there is a higher power than us humans and would like to see us all live in a humane and caring way together and accept each other, help each other and not have people dieing of starvation, wars, crime, and do unto others as we would like them to do unto us. Conscience awareness and fairness is all I could ever want for us as humans.
Our conscience can do that if we allow it to. Greed, hate, evil and selfishness usually take over. Live by the golden rules, know right from wrong, live and let live, is my idea of living life (with or without God).
No one can prove or disprove God. We can argue and give our opinions on why or why not.
I would like to see the documentary. Will let you know if and when I do.

Thanks for the clip.

There may be no god, but listening to a radio clip yesterday, I learnt about the elves, faeries, trolls, hidden people, and dorks of Iceland.

Apparently there are dorks in Canada, too. They come from the dork side, feed off each other, have a single over-developed right wing that has them spiraling inward getting nowhere. Interesting...

ROFLMFAO....... for something that doesn't exist.......it sure seems that a lot of people that "don't believe" spend ALOT of time trying to disprove it.

?? I haven't even watched it. I might, though, since you seem to try making fun of the people who do.
BTW, there's more time spent by believers trying to make others believe than there is time spent by atheists showing why it's foolish to believe. :)

You could start a thread titled "There probably is a gawd, so start worrying and don't enjoy your life."

and I would want to do that why? To prove your point?

also....I need to start worrying because........ and stop enjoying my life why????

Because it is opposite to the atheist campaign "There is probably no god, so stop worrying and enjoy your life."

The point isn't whether there is a god or not.

The point is the tragic harm such a belief causes people and the world.

If people realize there is no god then they can stop wasting what's left of their lives; stop waging war; stop following stone age rituals; stop abusing their children; stop holding back scientific advancement, etc...

The god disease is very damaging.

Just enjoy your lives 'all', whether you believe in a god or not, whatever people
want to believe in doesn't matter, but happiness does.

No you don't, you simply believe there is. That's not the same as knowing it. If it were actually knowable as a verifiable fact, any rational person would be convinced by the same evidence you were, all you'd have to do is point to it. But you can't, because it exists only inside your own head.

Being happy in spite of all the madness around us. That is the point, the lesson to be learned in life. All that other stuff out there is just distraction. You have nothing to offer the world unless you are happy, at peace within yourself. Otherwise, you are just adding to the crap pile.
