Police say a northern Virginia man used his position at a church to molest children.

Yeamans was arrested on New Year's Eve for sexual abuse of two boys, ages 11 and 12. Investigators say the boys met Yeamans at the Fairview at River Club Church in Spotsylvania.

"An anonymous tip came in through the Department of Social Services,” said First Sgt. James Konicki of the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office.

He says after getting that tip, the sheriff's office swung into action. Yeamans was questioned and he surrendered to authorities and was booked on two counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of taking indecent liberties with a minor.

Police say so far he is cooperating with their investigation.

At the Fairview at River Club Church, a voice on the other end of that intercom told us no one from the church would talk to us about Yeamans.

Investigators tell us the assaults did not take place at the church, but at Yeamans' home.

Police are now trying to see if any more victims come forward.

"Obviously, our concern is for any other child victims,” said Konicki. “If there are that come forward, please contact the sheriff's office."
Yeamans is being held at the county jail with no bail.
