Can you picture Jesus using genocide as Noah’s God did?

The O.T. God has been described as the vilest God imaginable.

The N.T. shows Jesus as a much softer and gentler and loving God.

Many say that Jesus is God even though there are many who dispute that notion for a number of good reasons.

For this O P, I will assume that there is a Trinity. If you are a Trinitarian, then you would have to see the non-judgemental Jesus who would not even stone a prostitute, as the judgemental O.T. God of Noah’s day, --- who will even drown babies and children.

How do you reconcile the O.T. God with the kind, gentle and forgiving Jesus?

Some will point to a new covenant but God himself says that nothing he says will ever be retract and Jesus himself referred back to the old covenant in the bible so let’s not argue that please.

Can you picture Jesus doing the vile things that scriptures say he did in the O.T.?

Matter of fact yes I can.

Re:19:21:
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse,
which sword proceeded out of his mouth:
and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

Zec:13:8-9:
And it shall come to pass,
that in all the land,
saith the LORD,
two parts therein shall be cut off and die;
but the third shall be left therein.
And I will bring the third part through the fire,
and will refine them as silver is refined,
and will try them as gold is tried:
they shall call on my name,
and I will hear them:
I will say,
It is my people:
and they shall say,
The LORD is my God.

Just for the sake of clarity the flood didn't happen until there were only 5 people in the world that had 20 fingers and toes so in reality God stopped a genocide from happening.

All the ones killed in the exodus wars that wer not giants will be resurrected as members of the 12 tribes as a remnant were married into the group that was called 'the chosen people' so that little bubble is broken as far as god being a very nasty character.

You haven really read Revelation 16 have you?

Like Father like Son. Who do you think taught Christ how to do all the things in Re:16?

Joh:5:19:
Then answered Jesus and said unto them,
Verily,
verily,
I say unto you,
The Son can do nothing of himself,
but what he seeth the Father do:
for what things soever he doeth,
these also doeth the Son likewise.

Proverb:8:36:
But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul:
all they that hate me love death.

Jer:25:31-33:
A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth;
for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations,
he will plead with all flesh;
he will give them that are wicked to the sword,
saith the LORD.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts,
Behold,
evil shall go forth from nation to nation,
and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth.
And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth:
they shall not be lamented,
neither gathered,
nor buried;
they shall be dung upon the ground.

They all look like Zebras. Is that the correct answer??

So the hypno-coin aspect was not part of your 'agenda'?
Good thing it wasn't animated as all epileptics would be thrashing around on the floor about 15 seconds after looking at the pic, animated or not.

Frenchie - The following is from Matthew spoken by Jesus.

He replied, “Because the knowledge of the secrets of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. This is why I speak to them in parables:

“Though seeing, they do not see;
though hearing, they do not hear or understand.

It certainly is an "Oh Sh*t moment though eh?
The great flud is a story like all other stories it
is designed to teach not to kill. There are versios
of the flud story in other civilizaitons older than
the Israeli version. They are guilty of plagiarism
God is not guilty of genocide

The Old Testament presents an evolving Jewish concept of the divine.

Jesus as a god is a Christian concept.

They are not the same gods.

I think zebras are utterly divine.

Zeus is a Greek zebra's god.
Thor is a Nordic zebra's god.

.

In defining Israel, some say striving with God and some say striving against God.

But yes, God was to evolve and not stagnate in literal Christian dogma.
