Childcare is one more industry that is being destroyed by free market economics.

Childcare in Toronto is now over $1,600 a month - as compared to Montreal under Quebec's universal system - which is $175 a month.

The point is that parents in Toronto are having to shell out $1,600 and the taxpayer is refunding them about $800 a month at tax time.

SO the taxpayer will probably end up spending more on the Toronto system than the Quebec system

Time for a national system?

WHo could bring it in?

What politician is going to die on that hill?

Quebec wouldn't even have childcare if it wasn't for equalization payments. If we eliminated this gift to Quebec other provinces could subsidize daycare more. Or people could stop breeding if they can't afford the cost.

Quebec's universal childcare system isn't all that universal. Only 1/3 of Quebec residents with children have qualified for it. Meanwhile, some fake refugee jack-off is trying to sue the Quebec govt because he can't get his kids into the universal daycare program. Like he's more special than the 2/3 of actual citizens who also can't access it.

We have seen what passes for child care in haiti.

Sunday Night’s Matt Doran goes undercover with Operation Underground Railroad to bring down Haiti child sex ring
GO BEHIND the scenes with an elaborate, multi-agency bust that has been almost a year in the planning.

With us are a dozen children, who’ve been released by their captors from locked rooms at the back of the property. They are aged between eight and 14 years old.

They are sex slaves.

Child trafficking victims who’ve spent their formative years servicing the carnal desires of men, often foreigners, who are three, four, five or six times their age.

Their madam tells me that many of their customers are western humanitarian workers who’ve come here to help rebuild Haiti after the recent run of natural disasters.

“Every day, every day, every day,’’ she says, after being asked if the kids have experience with westerners.

Foreigners with the appetite can buy an hour of their services for as little as a handful of Australian dollars.

I’m embedded with an organisation called Operation Underground Railroad, a group of ex-police and former CIA and Department of Homeland Security operatives who travel the world rescuing trafficked children.

This is far from a ‘vigilante group’; leading the team is ex-Department of Homeland Security special agent Tim Ballard, perhaps America’s foremost human trafficking expert.

“The problem in Haiti is an international crisis,” Ballard explains. “With so many children displaced or orphaned during the recent earthquake and hurricane, recruiters moved quickly to sweep these children up. And the worst part of it all is that in many cases the clients are the foreigners who’ve come here to help, the NGO workers and the so-called humanitarians.”

As our meeting with the traffickers ends, the undercovers set their trap. They give the criminals the time and place for the bust and agree to a price for the children’s services on the yacht.

In this case he is a fake refugee. The Govt declared that Haitians are no longer refugees sometime in 2016. This goof is a "refugee" from Haiti who came here in 2017.
Probably why he is sueing. For ending the program before he got his snouts in the trough.
