FOX “Family Values” News Correspondent Arrested For Rape, Sodomy

A Fox News alumnus has been arrested and charged with rape. Orlando Salinas, 57, was arrested July 28 on two felony charges of rape and sodomy. The arrest of Salinas comes after a grand jury was convened in relation to an incident which is alleged to have transpired January 11, 2016. Due to the nature of the charge, the victim’s identity is not being revealed. However court documents do stipulate that the individual Salinas is accused of raping is not his wife.

The fall from public life for Salinas came in April 2015 when he was fired from local Virginia television station WDBJ7 after three years of employment for insubordination. Before working at WDBJ7 Salinas was Fox News correspondent for twelve years from 2000 – 2012 who was known for his combative interview style.

From Fox hosts Bill O’Reilly settling a sexual harrassment lawsuit, to Brian Kilmead joking that a woman who was beaten on an elevator “should have taken the stairs” and now with the recent departure of Fox CEO Roger Ailes over sexual harassment allegations over 25 women have come forward with awful decade’s long tales of mistreatment, it is clear Fox has long cultivated a culture of misogyny and male entitlement.

After Salinas left the news business he began a new career as a Remax real estate agent. In an Dec. 2015 “Whatever happened to?” interview, Salinas’ boss Amy Hudson said, “He’s a wonderful people person. People who know who he is really trust him.”

The judge who set Salinas’ bond did not agree with Hudson’s assessment of Salinas’ trustworthy nature, as he is being held at Montgomery County Jail without bond. Each charge levied against Salinas carries a minimum of five years and a maximum of life in prison. His next scheduled court date is Oct. 29.

Nebraska State Senator Bill Kintner Says He Is 'Being Obedient to God’s Decision' by Not Resigning

Bill Kintner says he has "confessed to God and asked His forgiveness" and will not be resigning as a Nebraska Republican state senator, despite having illegally engaged in cybersex via Skype on his state government computer with a woman who subsequently extorted him for money.

Kiuntner, who has a long history of making offensive remarks about women, minorities, and the poor, and even compared his fellow senators to monkeys , in a statement says that he "knew as a follower of Christ" he knew he "needed to take quick and decisive action" after the blackmail threat, so he contacted the Nebraska State patrol.

Now, more than a year after the original incident, Kintner is being fined $1000, and the governor of Nebraska, Republican Pete Ricketts – who also happens to be Kintner's wife's boss – is demanding his resignation. "In light of the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission’s decision, Sen. Kintner should resign his office immediately. Period," Ricketts said in a statement.

Last year Kintner, who opposes same-sex marriage and allowing gay people to adopt or even be foster parents. made very offensive remarks about LGBT people.

“If you’re a Christian, they’re coming after you," Sen. Kintner told his colleagues. "So I think it’s very important to remember that whenever they talk about protecting a class, it’s not just a shield, it’s a sword. And they are going to come after you if you’re a Christian. It something that this body, we need to guard the rights of everyone. That includes Christians."

Kintner tells the Omaha World-Herald in an article today, "I go home to a loving wife. I’ve got a great marriage. My walk with Christ is stronger than it’s ever been."

"This was a wake-up call. This is a real wake-up call. If it can happen to a guy who’s a Christian who goes to church, I mean, this is something that all men need to understand – that sexual sin is the way Satan gets to us."

Rudy Giuliani, stumping for Trump today .
"Under those eight years, before Obama came along, we didn't have any successful radical Islamic terrorist attack in the United States. They all started when Obama got into office."
Rudy Giuliani was the Republican mayor of New York City in 2001 when two airliners piloted by radical Islamic terrorists struck the towers of the World Trade Center. Or, to use Mr. Giuliani's middle name: 9/11.

Conservative radio host: ‘We’ve created this monster’ of fact-hating right-wing voters

In an interview with Business Insider’s Oliver Darcy, a conservative radio host lamented the fact that conservative media has conditioned its followers to distrust the mainstream media so much that they have become fact-free “monsters.”

In a tweet promoting an upcoming piece on rightwing media, Darcy posted an excerpt from an interview with conservative radio host Charlie Sykes who claims candidates like Donald Trump can say anything on the stump without fear of being fact-checked by the likes of Fox News or conservative websites.

“We’ve basically eliminated any of the referees, the gatekeepers. There’s nobody. Let’s say that Donald Trump basically makes whatever you want to say, whatever claim he wants to make. And everybody knows it’s a falsehood,” he explained. “The big question of my audience, it is impossible for me to say that. ‘By the way, you know it’s false.’ And they’ll say, ‘Why? I saw it on Allen B. West.’ Or they’ll say, ‘I saw it on a Facebook page.’ And I’ll say, ‘The New York Times did a fact check.’ And they’ll say, Oh, that’s The New York Times. That’s bull****.'”

According to Sykes, any attempts to continue fighting back against misinformation is dismissed with complaints that he has “sold out,” adding, “Then they’ll ask what’s wrong with me for not repeating these stories that I know not to be true.”

Sykes warned “There’s got to be a reckoning on all this.”

“We’ve created this monster,” he warned. “Look, I’m a conservative talk show host. All conservative talk show hosts have basically established their brand as being contrasted with the mainstream media. So we have spent 20 years demonizing the liberal mainstream media. And by the way, a lot has been justifiable. There is real bias. But, at a certain point you wake up and you realize you have destroyed the credibility of any credible outlet out there.”

“And I feeling, to a certain extent, that we are reaping the whirlwind at that,” he continued. “And I have to look in the mirror and ask myself, ‘To what extent did I contribute?'”

Flood Destroys Home Of Hate Group Leader Who Claims God Sends Natural Disasters To Punish Gays

Flood Destroys Home Of Hate Group Leader Who Claims God Sends Natural Disasters To Punish Gays – The Gaily Grind

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, an organization labeled an anti-LGBT hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, was left homeless by the destructive flooding that has ravaged southern Louisiana this week, killing 11 people and destroying an estimated 40,000 homes.

Perkins, who has claimed that God uses natural disasters such as hurricanes and flooding to punish people for sinning (in particular homosexuals and their supporters), had his own home destroyed by the Lord Almighty. The hate group leader says he was forced to escape his destroyed home by canoe, reports JMG.

Perkins called into his own radio show to talk about the disaster of “biblical proportions” that, according to Perkins, will force his family to live in a camper for the six months it will take to rebuild his home.

Perkins claims that God sent this deadly flood not to punish the gays but rather “as an incredible, encouraging spiritual exercise to take you to the next level in your walk with an almighty and gracious God who does all things well.” In fact, he urges Christians to rejoice that God considers them “worthy of suffering for his sake.”

POLITICS WATCH: Top West Virginia Republican Fired After Starring In Leaked White Supremacist Video

A spokeswoman for the West Virginia attorney general Patrick Morrissey has found herself in hot water after a shocking video of her reciting racist slogans was unearthed by the New York Daily Post. Carrie Bowe, the assisstant communications director for Morrissey, is filmed with several other women saying things like “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white” (a well-known alt-right quote from white supremacist Bob Whitaker) and generally giving the usual 4chan/Breitbart comment section complaints about how whites aren’t allowed to be proud of their “heritage” while blacks and Asians get a free pass.

Bowe even goes as far as to say “Everybody says the final solution to this race problem is for every white country, and only white countries, to assimilate, i.e., intermarry with all those non-whites;” final solution, of course, being a transparent allusion to Adolf Hitler’s”final solution” to the Jewish problem – the Holocaust. In case there was any doubt as to the real motivation behind the six-minute clip, it was titled “THE ‘Stop White Genocide’ Video.”

Bowe was terminated hours after the video resurfaced. “The employee’s conduct and statements, which occurred years before being employed by the attorney general’s office, were not previously disclosed until today, which is contrary to the transparency requirements for being a member of this office, do not reflect the opinion or the perspective of the attorney general or this office” said Morrissey’s office.

For her part, Bowe has offered some weak excuses and apologies, claiming “full ownership of my role in the message” but that “unfortunately, I did not view the finished edit. My understanding of the project was not the reality of the completed product or the malice [sic] intentions of its creators.” Nice try, but it’s hard to understand how you could possibly misunderstand what was going on.

It just goes to show how deep the strain of virulent white supremacy runs through American society – and that only be acknowledging it can it be truly exorcised.

"F**k it, I'm out": Josh Barro quits GOP, joins Democrats

Josh Barro is a columnist and political analyst for the New York Times (in particular The Upshot, their political commentary venture) and Bloomberg’s Business Insider magazine where he is currently Senior Editor. He is also a Mitt Romney Republican (i.e., not from the crazy wing).

And no, it wasn’t Trump who led him there, at least not directly. It was the GOP’s craven, spineless reaction to Trump that drove him over the edge. In particular he calls out Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, and Paul Ryan for “taking an action that risks the destruction of the American republic to advance their personal interests.”

I can only conclude from the available evidence that they love their careers more than they love America. And they are why I quit the Republican Party this week.
But why join the Dems instead of becoming an independent, his editor wanted to know?

I did that because I believe political parties are key vehicles for policy-making, and choosing not to join one is choosing to give up influence.

It's quite a stretch to suggest that no Democrat ever did anything immoral or got caught red handed doing it. Of course the Democrats are better at covering up their scandals. One lies and the rest of them swear to it.
They are also very good at placing the blame for their questionable behaviors on other sources.

Yep, it's why I'm pretty skeptical about these 10 women who have come forth with accusations against Trump. The first one MIGHT be credible, I would suggest the rest finally got "brave". I wouldn't be surprised if there's people (Democrats) putting them up to this sh*t. Of course no one but the perpetrators knows for sure what is going on.

Those women are as phony as a three dollar bill. The first one too. Some of them at least had the sense to try to cry a little (better actresses?). But 'ol' Jessie, she was all smiles, enjoying her few minutes of fame to the fullest!

No question that there have been Dem scandals. But there have been FAR more Republican scandals which they always attribute to everyone else. This all the while when they called themselves the Christian party of moral principles and integrity. For all their faults, the Dems made no such hypocritical claims or pretensions.

It started out innocently enough. I began to think at parties now and then -- to loosen up.
Inevitably, though, one thought led to another, and soon I was more than just a social thinker.
I began to think alone -- "to relax," I told myself -- but I knew it wasn't true.
Thinking became more and more important to me, and finally I was thinking all the time. That was when things began to sour at home.
One evening I had turned off the TV and asked my wife about the meaning of life. She spent that night at her mother's.
I began to think on the job. I knew that thinking and employment don't mix, but I couldn't stop myself. I began to avoid friends at lunchtime so I could read Thoreau and Kafka. I would return to the office dizzied and confused, asking, "What is it exactly we are doing here?"
One day the boss called me in. He said, "Listen, I like you, and it hurts me to say this, but your thinking has become a real problem. If you don't stop thinking on the job, you'll have to find another job." This gave me a lot to think about.
I came home early after my conversation with the boss.
"Honey," I confessed, "I've been thinking..."
"I know you've been thinking," she said, "and I want a divorce!"
"But Honey, surely it's not that serious."
"It is serious," she said, lower lip aquiver. "You think as much as college professors, and college professors don't make any money, so if you keep on thinking, we won't have any money!"
"That's a faulty syllogism," I said impatiently. She exploded in tears of rage and frustration, but I was in no mood to deal with the emotional drama. "I'm going to the library," I snarled as I stomped out the door.
I headed for the library, in the mood for some Nietzsche. I roared into the parking lot with NPR on the radio and ran up to the big glass doors... They didn't open. The library was closed. To this day, I believe that a Higher Power was looking out for me that night.
Leaning on the unfeeling glass, whimpering for Zarathustra, a poster caught my eye. "Friend, is heavy thinking ruining your life?" it asked. You probably recognize that line. It comes from the standard Thinker's Anonymous (TA) poster.
Which is why I am what I am today: a recovering thinker. I never miss a TA meeting.
At each meeting we watch a non-educational video; last week it was "Porky's." Then we share experiences about how we avoided thinking since the last meeting.
I still have my job, and things are a lot better at home. Life just seemed...easier, somehow, as soon as I stopped thinking. I think the road to recovery is nearly complete for me.
Today, I registered to vote as a Republican... - Leland Sklar

I'm beginning to wonder if Old Trump isn't getting a little soft in the head. Elections (U.S. and Canada) are run by very strict rules with scrutineers from the general population. Be kind of nice when this charade is over. Two years is about 23 months too long and probably $23 billion too much. Hopefully after this maybe the procedure will change. Anyway I won't be in any suspense!

Who really knows the truth of it? I can't imagine that anyone connected to the election process in any way is going to agree/admit it if there is election fraud.
There are many ways that the voting can be unfair that may not be defined as 'fraud' but are not honest either; people registered to vote in multiple States, people who are deceased, people who are not require to show sufficient identification. And what guarantee is there that the watchdogs/scrutineers are honest?

The biggest problem I see with the American system is unequal representation. We have the same problem in Canada. Ontario and Quebec, being the most populous get to run the country.
I'm not very knowledgable about the American representation but I am of the understanding that with some States having a larger number of Delegates, it takes away from the voter's choice in other States.
Then there are the Delegates who refuse to vote with the will of the people, which I don't think is right. If a Delegate is not bound to represent the voters' choice, what's the point in having a general election?

The problem with the US is that the 'strict rules' for the elections vary from state to state, and seem to be pretty vague at times. In Canada, we have Elections Canada that runs the elections according to very strict rules. In the US, every State does their own thing.

Why is that a problem? It's in our Constitution. The people don't elect the President, the state legislatures do.

Yep, got to agree with most of what you say but I suppose that Ontario & Quebec getting to "run the country" is fair in that a vote in those provinces is the same strength as any other vote in the country. In British Columbia, one could say the province is run by the Lower Mainland, but the truth is that's where the bulk of the people live.
