It's finally over.

A judge has closed the book on one of the sorriest judicial episodes in Canadian history.

I wish him well. If anyone has ever deserved a fresh start it is this poor kid whose only crime seems to have been to be born with an idiot for a father and a spineless bunch of cowards for a government,

Former Guantanamo Bay prisoner Omar Khadr has completed his sentence, an Alberta judge ruled Monday.

Court of Queen's Bench Chief Justice Mary Moreau counted the time Khadr spent on conditional release for nearly four years as counting toward his eight-year sentence.

15 isn't a kid. 100 years ago he'd be a father of 2.

in fact I agree with this

it was a soldier dying as the result of a military engagement.

Got off?

Maybe you need to read about about him.

You seem to be confused, although with you that is more or less a permanent state.

The way I understand it is that had the government not paid him off, the case would have gone to court with the possibility of an even bigger price tag should he win. I guess it was a roll of the dice, pete.
When I heard he was getting his passport back, one of my first thoughts was 'he better not travel to any country that has an extradition treaty with the US.
