Vietnam’s Doan Thi Huong, 29, remains on trial for the murder of Kim Jong-nam.
They giggled. They laughed.
They were oblivious.
The two party girls accused of poisoning one-time presumptive heir to North Korean Despot-in-Chief Kim Jong Nam have seen their fates severed.
In an explosive development, the prosecution recently dropped its murder case against Indonesian Siti Aisyah.
Vietnamese national Doan Thi Huong wasn’t so lucky. Her murder trial is a go and the end result could see the pretty party girl swinging from the end of a rope.

Huong and Aisyah were accused of smearing the toxic VX nerve agent on Kim Jong Nam’s face in an airport terminal in Kuala Lumpur on Feb. 13, 2017.
The fame-craving courtesans bizarrely thought they were taking part in a gag for a TV show.
But the outrageous assassination was no joke as all eyes quickly turned to North Korea.
Prosecutor Iskandar Ahmad gave no explanation for the refusal to drop the murder charge against Doan Thi Huong.
However, seldom in the annals of assassination and international intrigue have the killers posted sexy photos of themselves in bikinis and partying.

“How could she be brave enough to do it? She’s afraid of frogs and rats, what’s more, to do something like that?” her father, Doan Van Thanh told the Malaysia Star at the time of her arrest.
He added that his troubled daughter was “kind-hearted and gullible.”
Huong had reportedly sought fame and fortune on the contest show, Vietnamese idol.
Reports suggested she was known for her funky fashion sense and foreign boyfriends. She was vague with her friends and family about where she was living and what she did for a living.

That led to reports that Huong and her Indonesian confederate were high-priced hookers.
Huong’s lawyer and Vietnamese diplomats were “very disappointed” with the decision.
“We will request Malaysia to have fair judgment and release her as soon as possible,” Ambassador Le Quy Quynh said, adding that Vietnam would continue lobbying Malaysia.
Her lawyer called the decision “perverse.”
A judge last August had found there was enough evidence to infer that Aisyah, Huong and the four North Koreans engaged in a “well-planned conspiracy” to kill Kim.
But as the two women were paraded before the cameras, the four North Korean agents slipped out of the country.

Now, Huong is said to be a nervous wreck who desperately needs medical treatment. Her lawyer claims she sleeps just an hour a night.
“I have no idea what is going on,” a tired and pale-looking Huong, who was wrapped in a red headscarf and a coat, said through an interpreter at her most recent appearance.
The turn of events has sent shockwaves through the small village in Vietnam where she grew up.

“I had hoped for good news today, but unfortunately there is none. I’m very sad and disappointed. I had hoped my daughter would be freed like the Indonesian woman,” her father, Doan Van Thanh, told reporters.
He believes in his daughter’s innocence and is praying for her to “stay calm and hope for the best outcome.”
Her sobbing stepmother said: “It’s so unfair. They were together, did the same thing.”
The judge has postponed the trial until April 1. At that time, Huong’s defence team will go to work trying to save her life.
Experts say the case was always stronger against Huong.
Doan Thi Huong, 29, is in a world of hurt.
While both women had traces of the deadly VX poison on their clothing, only Huong was captured by CCTV smearing the poison on the tubby tyrant’s brother.
Laughably, the prosecution has claimed the two women were trained assassins.
It’s expected the defence will push hard on the mysterious North Koreans who provided the poison then left the two party girls holding the bag.
Airport security footage played during the women’s trial showed all four of the men at the airport during the attack, discarding their belongings and changing their outfits later.
They were then seen meeting a North Korean Embassy official and an Air Koryo official before flying out of the country.
