Climate Change isn't science, It's religion

At least according to Ted Kruz

He says it at the 0:50 mark. Oh dear.

Baloney. The essence of the scientific method is to sort out fact from nonsense in order to provide an accurate answer to a question.
This dude obviously has a bias. "Both my parents were scientists". So what? What does that make you? An expert on science? Or are you just an expert on your parents? He uses at least 3 different logical fallacies to make his point.

You're just being racist if you don't believe him.

One of the things I notice as I drive all over hells half acre are the changes in the landscape over the past forty years or so. And there are many. That's about all I have to say.

Funny how apparently religious conservatives try to insult science and philosophy by calling it religion.

Funny that supposed scientific studies are saying you must believe what we tell you without questioning us as the guy questioned by Cruz was saying.....something a bible thumper might do...?

Science is meant to be questioned. Every single one of those studies attempts to question previous studies, or in cases of new areas of study, open themselves up to subsequent studies. The scientific method is a lot like politics in a democracy. In order to keep it honest, one must continually question. But unlike politics in a democracy, science is actually questioned seriously.

Yet the man simply evaded the question.....if you watched the video.

Climate Change Denial isn't science, either. It is a well organized and highly paid lobby sponsored by the oil industry.

The OP was specifically about the video....no shifting the goal posts!

Some parts of it are. Whenever people are involved in something, there will always be some who take advantage. There will always be some who are about pure science. There are scientists who work on it for their own enjoyment in researching and studying and to create a name for themselves. A negative reputation in the science community is a bad thing. Yes, some scientists can be hired or bought, if you prefer. But not all. Not by the majority. Most are seeking to make a name for themselves IN the science community. That's where it truly matters for them. Some are unable to enjoy the honest persuit of knowledge. They don't measure up (for what ever reason, maybe they're the geek in the nerd community) and will seek simply a means of income. They can be bought

Science is the intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.

Science is a methodology for examining evidence., not a belief system.

Science may not. But scientists do and they're the ones doing the science.

Belief System are the stories we tell ourselves to define our personal sense of "reality"
Every human being has a belief system that they utilize, and it is through this mechanism that we individually, "make sense" of the world around us.

Science, Faith, And Belief Systems

So basically you can't come up with any reasonable questions for this topic either.

I find it interesting that the religious are the ones dissing climate change as a religion and many of them believe humans and dinosaurs lived together. Must have something to do with having compartmentalized brains. They seem to be incapable of seeing the dichotomy of their beliefs.
