The body of Catherine Campbell, who was reported missing from Dartmouth on Monday, has been found.

Halifax Regional Police say human remains were found at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday in a wooded area east of Barrington and North streets in Halifax.

Police believe the remains are that of Campbell and they are treating her death as a homicide, though they are waitiing for the results of an autopsy to confirm.

A 27-year-old Halifax man was arrested early Wednesday morning in Clayton Park in relation to her death

Hes currently being interviewed by investigators and no charges have been laid.

Police added that while Campbell was last seen entering her Dartmouth apartment complex on Sept. 10, investigators learned she was later at a downtown Halifax bar in the early morning hours of Sept. 11.
