no lol, the creepy carnie clowns are on the outside...
well, at least one will be out of a job in a couple days

...as opposed to carnie crooks, circus performers often really rock

One of my early jobs was Valley Millworks in Phoenix. The large millwork company was next to the railroad tracks. Every year the Ringling Brothers circus would come by train and park it near our company. I thought it was cool watching the circus employees in their day to day activities. Damn was that a long time ago.

Yup. The little car pulls up front and out jumps the entire White House staff

I remember going to the circus in Bolton as a kid with my mum and brother. My mum bought me and my brother two raffle tickets. The raffle was to take place during the circus and there would be a nice price for whichever child wins. As we were sitting there watching the circus, I started to think that I'm not going to win with this raffle ticket. I just had a bad feeling about it. So my mum told me and my brother to swap raffle tickets if we wanted. So we did that, and I thought that would give me a better chance to win the raffle (although the odds were low, because there must have been hundreds of kids taking part in it).

My brother won.

You shouldn't have listened to the voices, that time.

No. It still annoys me when I think about it.

PC destroys another institution. Christian church is on the list, too, since the PC have been pretty successful about destroying the traditional family.

You have to be a special idiot to think this is a PC issue.

The animal rights activists drove them out of business, so in a sense, it is.

if there was a profit that could be made out of it the circus would still be going strong

Of course it would. It's called the free-market. And Since more and more people object to animals being in held captivity for no real good reason, on top of the bad rep for other forms of animal cruelty, circuses are falling by the wayside.
I feel similarly about all those Seaworld-type places. I wish lack of money would kill those businesses off too.
Even zoos I have a bit of an issue with. The only animals that should be in zoos are those that are rescues that can't be rehab'd back into the wild, rescues of infant animals that likely can't be set free into the wild, and animals that are at extreme risk of extinction. And they should be strictly monitored to make sure the animals are healthy, although some already do take good care of their animals.
