Star Trek: Picard has received an early season two commission a month ahead of the show’s debut in January 2020.
The show, which features Sir Patrick Stewart as the beloved titular character, serves as a spinoff of the TV classic Star Trek but exact plot details remain under wraps.
The series will also see the return of other Star Trek actors including Brent Spiner as Data, Jonathan Del Arco as Hugh the Borg, and Star Trek: Voyager‘s Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine, along with Marina Sirtis as Commander Deanna Troi and Jonathan Frakes as Riker.
The small screen venture, developed by Star Trek: Discovery co-creator and executive producer Alex Kurtzman, is set to debut on CBS All Actress on Jan. 23 and worldwide on Jan. 24 on Amazon Prime.
