What, the time machines?
... or 1918 when the Royal Air Force was founded?
I think the time machines came from the future or we'd still have them today. The jets were probably late 20th century. The revolutionaries wisely concluded that interplanetary fighter ships would have been overkill.
I heard that Mohammed galloped into the heavens on a steed.
But Trump will huff and puff a trade war with the UK over this just when the UK will need free trade more than ever.
Aided by a strong economy, Trump approval rises, but a majority also see him as unpresidential
In 2020 matchups, Trump trails Biden but runs even with four other potential challengers. The electorate sharply divided between pro- and anti-Trump.
Federal investigators have created a huge facial recognition network as Congress debates the accuracy of the technology
FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents have access to more than 640 million photos in the driver's license records of 21 states for comparison in facial recognition searches, according to emails and other documents examined by The Washington Post. The arrangement hasnt been approved by either Congress or state legislatures and is being questioned by both Republicans and Democrats. The documents show that despite debate over the accuracy of facial recognition, local officials often conducted searches on behalf of federal investigators with no more documentation than an emailed request.
Trump says the U.S. will no longer deal with British ambassador who disparaged his administration
In private cables that were recently made public, Ambassador Kim Darroch described the administration as inept, dysfunctional and unpredicatable.
"I do not know the Ambassador, but he is not liked or well thought of within the U.S. We will no longer deal with him. The good news for the wonderful United Kingdom is that they will soon have a new Prime Minister," Trump tweeted.
....well that could have been predicted..
Blustering bully always gets his way.
The next British Ambassador will likely say about the same sort of things. The whole world seems to know what Trump is about anyway, save a handful of the faithful who haunt the right side of this forum.
Anyway, The British should and will improve their security after this.
My money is on the ever playful Russians. Weakening NATO, then the relationship between the US and UK sounds like a pretty rational strategy to me. This is a new Cold War and a whole lot of our citizens aren't grasping it, yet.
Trump cannot block his critics on Twitter, appeals court rules
The case has implications for how elected officials nationwide interact with constituents on social media.
the fact he wanted to block his critics....says al one needs to know about this tyrant.
and it ain't all that great..
One might ask the Trump supporters:
Do you support free speach?? freedom of the press??.....because if you do....then why on earth do you support the bully that would have these freedoms controlled..or even extinguished .....as they are a THREAT^ to him. What he calls fake news.....is the accurate reporting of his regime and his behavior and he won't tolerate that kind of truth.....facts. He creates his own reality ...one that is not a threat to his fragile and over inflated ego/psyche.
His simplistic supporters don't care if he ruins the country, the democratic system , international relationships... embarrasses himself f Daily --as it is all about money to them. ....and probably greed for the one percenters. Yes... money, jobs etc is important....but not at the cost of principles of a democracy........if a democracy wants to remain so.
