Explosions at Ariana Grande concert in U.K.

At least one explosion at a concert given by singer Ariana Grande sent terrified fans running for the exits Monday in Manchester in the United Kingdom, according to Variety and various other media organizations.

The Greater Manchester Police Department reported via Twitter "a number of confirmed fatalities" at the Manchester Arena and "others injured." At least 20 people were dead, NBC News was reporting.

The incident took place at about 10:40 p.m. as the concert in northern England was wrapping up, eyewitnesses told local television. Manchester Arena holds 21,000 people, according to its website.

Grande herself appears to be uninjured. It's unclear if concert-goers or staff at the event were injured.

Greater Manchester Police said earlier via Twitter that they were responding to the scene of a "serious incident" at the venue and asked members of the public to avoid the area.

Twitter was abuzz with video of panicked fans running out of the Manchester Arena and reports of injured concert goers, but none of that was confirmed.

A Grande label rep told Variety that there were two loud bangs at the concert venue.

Emergency services were rushing to the scene, according to the Mirror.

At least 10 police cars and five ambulances were seen rushing to the scene, the Mirror reported.

You say that like it is a good thing. Perhaps it was just a nut as it wasn't a religious event. Perhaps you are the religious zealot we need to fear.

This report says it is being treated as a terrorist attack, but they usually are looked at this way. Still nothing positively indicating it was terrorist related.

At Least 19 Killed in Terror Attack Outside Ariana Grande Concert

50 more injured as suspected suicide bomber targets concertgoers

On Monday night, Ariana Grande's concert at the Manchester Arena ended with an emergency evacuation after reports of explosions were heard. Waves of photos pervaded social media of audience members fleeing the venue bloody and with torn clothing. The crowd was predominantly young kids, teenagers and their parents.

The Greater Manchester Police Department reported 19 people were killed and about 50 more people were injured by an explosion as they were exiting the venue. Police are telling everyone to avoid the area so first responders can continue to investigate the scene. The GM Police are treating the incident as a terrorist attack.

The Manchester Arena said in a statement, "We can confirm there was an incident as people were leaving the Ariana Grande concert show last night. The incident took place outside the venue in a public space. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims."

Police believe the attack was perpetrated by a suicide bomber wearing a backpack, NBC News reports. The incident would mark the worst terrorist attack on U.K. soil since the July 2005 London bombings.

A "bang" was heard at approximately 10:35 p.m. London time, around the same time Grande played her last song and people began exiting the venue. Universal Music representative Joseph Carrozza told Rolling Stone the pop star is "okay."

They are saying is a terrorist attack,,,,but they won't say it's a Muslim terrorist attack.

They will do anything they can to protect the Muslim name from being associated with terroristism.

What a bunch of lefties!!

Actually, they are treating it as a terrorist attack, but it hasn't been confirmed. The police always go for the worst case scenario. Something will come out shortly.
