Some are encouraging Trump to cancel this chat with Putin.......as he is not rusted to handle it effectively.. His wing it style is so inappropriate at this kind of meet up.

So far this whole excursion has been disastrous ....with nothing productive or positive to show for it.

The sun is certainly one certainty in life.......

Seriously, is there some concern as to what Trump will do and say when with Putin............or does it matter??

It used to matter.

In principle .......I do think a positive relationship.....( with some skepticism ) with Russia is a good thing.

Now........if Trump is doing the " keep your friends close and your enemies closer " "strategy" .......then why is he offending his friends while being accommodating to the so called "enemies"?? It is almost as if the friends and allies are not a challenge.........while Putin and Kim are still a challenge to "win" over .

The timing of the indictments is interesting....

What exactly , in REAL terms.......is the objective of this meeting??

Do you think he will screw it up worse than the last time they met?

If Trump is tough on his allies and demands more from them how do you think he will treat his advisories?

The indictments timing is perfect for ammunition against Putin, besides you did hear when Rod said he discussed them with Trump before he left on his trip, and they had a discussion about announcing them. Like I said perfect timing to stew over the weekend and meet with Putin on Monday.

Yes the sun will rise tomorrow there maybe a chance of a thunderstorm, we do need the rain

Whether he will admit tit or not.....Russia helped Trump win the presidency. The evidence is there. So why would trump be confrontational to the country that helped him win?? He owes Russia for his presidency. No matter how much Trump or anyone else wants to deny that. Those are the FACTS........based on intelligence,. Trump ASKED Russia to find out what they could about Hillary's emails. That makes him complicit. He promised Russia wards ..

So being in Russia' debt.......would leave trump handicapped in dealing with the concerning issues.......let alone confronting Putin with these facts.

Trump is not in a position of strength here.

I don't see how Trump can meet with Putin given the indictment of the 12 russians.

While Trump has not been implicated as yet there is now no doubt that Putin has played a role.

Russian is a rogue state capable of just about anything, The world needs to isolate and crush these idjits.

The problem is that because it will be just the two of the.......no one can know for sure what was discussed. Who in their right mind would take Trump's (or Putin's ) word for it??

Demonstrations against tTrump in Helsinki. What a world reaction to this bloke.
He has no agenda. no plan re topic s to discuss, and as usual will just wing it. He is going in with low expectations. That could be interpreted as a useless meet up.

OR...... this might be an opportunity for Putin to outline to TRump what he wants from him as obligation for helping elect trump. Trump is totally at a disadvantage....../ A situation he has been complicit in. What a deal maker..

I can remember several news commentators discussing Trump right after he won the election. Their opinion at the time was that the bar would have to be set especially low for him, but I doubt they expected that he would keep lowering it.

Really? You do realize China has nuclear weapons of its own don't you? But no worry, Trump couldn't pull off a foreign policy triumph if it was handed to him.
