A Russian slaughterhouse worker has been jailed for killing three boozing buddies — then eating them and ditching their remains in a nearby river.
Cops say Eduard Seleznev, 51, from northwestern Russia, heard voices in his head telling him to kill his friends between March 2016 and March 2017.
The doomed trio had passed out from overdrinking.
Seleznev had previously been convicted of a double homicide and was released after serving 13 years in prison.
He told detectives that after stabbing his comrades to death, he slashed off the parts he wanted to eat and stored the human flesh in plastic bags in his freezer.
In addition to his pals, Seleznev was also known for killing — and eating — cats, dogs, birds and other creatures he found on the street.
He told the parents of one of his victims that the missing man had gone to work in another city.
Investigators said that when the corpses were eventually found, they were difficult to identify because of the state of decay and the degrading manner in which they had been slain.
Despite the voices in his head, the cannibal killer was ruled sane enough to face murder charges.
He was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole.
