Here is an article illustrating the screwed up values of LIE-berals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LIE-berals and their Hog allies desperately want to set up a two tier health care system- simply so they CAN SAVE GRAVY FOR THEMSELVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

While LIE-berals enjpy posturing and virtue signalling over the environment and women`s rights and illegal immigrants- they IGNORE deadly dangerous conditions in our hospitals!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an article reminding us that LIE-berals have their health care priorities ALL WRONG! With some comments of my own in brackets):

Streptococcus outbreak kills nine in London, Ont., area. Canadian Press. Published: November 28, 2017. Updated: November 28, 2017 9:41 AM EST
Filed Under: Toronto SUN/News/Ontario

Middlesex-London Health Unit

LONDON, Ont. — Health officials have issued an alert, saying nine people have died in an ongoing invasive group A streptococcus outbreak in the London, Ont., area.

The outbreak was declared more than 18 months ago and the Middlesex-London Health Unit says more than 132 cases of infection have been reported since April 1, 2016.

Of the cases, 22 per cent required treatment in intensive care, 15 per cent had Streptococcal Toxic Shock Syndrome and 15 per cent had necrotizing fasciitis — also called “flesh-eating” disease.

Associate Medical Officer of Health Dr. Gayane Hovhannisyan says about half of the cases have been among injection drug users and/or people without access to stable housing.

(LIE-berals CLAIM to be so focussed on environment issues but their actions belie that assertion! The over use of antibiotics among farm animals has encouraged germs and viruses to develop resistance to most modern drugs- LIE-berals know this but do nothing These assorted anti-biotic resistant germs then got spread into hospitals thanks to SLOPPY housecleaning by hospital staff who too often lacked the time to do a thorough cleaning job as LIE-berals have pinched health care pennies so they can direct gravy to their pals!)

(Sun writer Christina Blizzard did a piece exposing LIE-beral priorities. She told us that education budgets are rising fifty percent faster than health care budgets- IN SPITE of the fact that student numbers are falling while numbers of people seeking medical care soars! LIE-berals made their vote buying preferences CLEAR! Teachers are more LIE-beral friendly than health care workers-and the budgets and pay reflect this LIE-beral choice!)

Symptoms depend on the site of the infection and may include fever, chills, sore throat, dizziness, confusion, severe pain, redness or swelling around a wound or injured area.

Hovhannisyan says the alert has been issued because the health unit is seeing an increase in infections among people who have no connection to the outbreak in people who inject drugs or don’t have stable housing.

(IN other words- the safe injection sites beloved of LIE-berals are NOT safe! The LIE-beral approach to drug addicts is FAILING BADLY!)

“We need a better understanding of what’s happening, which is why we’ve issued this alert,” she said Monday in a news release.

The bacteria are spread by direct contact with nose and throat secretions from an infected person, or by direct contact with infected wounds or sores on the skin.

While the infections can occur year-round, the health unit said Monday that the number of infections tends to increase during the winter.

It said the majority of streptococcus infections cause relatively mild illnesses like strep throat, but sometimes more serious and potentially life-threatening infections are able to get into muscles, blood and other organs.

The health unit advises regular handwashing, covering the mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing, avoid sharing drinking and eating utensils and to not share drug paraphernalia in an effort to avoid infection.

(The number of non drug users being exposed to these dangerous germs in unsanitary hospitals is rising steadily and such rates of infection should be seen as a national shame due to he crippling and sometimes fatal nature of these infections!)

Consider the REMARKABLE CRAP operating at Toronto Silly Hall with regard to economy saving public transit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is an article illustrating all that is wrong with Toronto Silly Hall and its wretched socialist councillors! With some comments of my own in brackets):

New 'transit czar' will push expansion: Tory

By Antonella Artuso.

Published: November 8, 2018. Updated: November 8, 2018 12:48 PM EST

Filed Under: Toronto SUN/ News/ Toronto & GTA

A near-empty streetcar passes Mayor John Tory at a press conference in support of the year-long King Street transit pilot on King St W. in Toronto on Tuesday January 9, 2018. Veronica Henri/Toronto Sun

The City of Toronto will hire a new “transit czar” to light a fire under projects like the downtown relief line and Scarborough subway, Mayor John Tory says.

“You need somebody that quite frankly – I hate to put it in the vernacular – but that is going to kick some butt,” Tory told reporters Thursday.

(Oh RIGHT! One wonders what butts the transit czar will kick? Those of city council for wasting time and money fighting the Ford order to cut the size of council? Or will the czar roll back the DOUBLED office budget that sulky councillors just awarded themselves????)

(Or maybe the transit czar will kick butts at TCHC- the biggest slum lords in Canada? TCHC has hundreds of single family dwellings sitting vacant and rotting- all scattered around Toronto! Toronto real estate prices are such that even in that ROTTEN, uninhabitable state- the TCHC properties are STILL VALUABLE!)

(Former mayor Rob Ford PROVED that if TCHC HOGS were forced to sell some of the properties- they could then afford to do desperately needed repairs to their multi unit buildings! And since many of the single family dwellings have sat empty for a decade or more- it is clear that TCHC CANNOT afford to deal with them and put them into liveable state! So will the transit czar kick TCHC butts in order to generate cash from TCHC sales?)

(Or will the czar deal with abuses of the benefit system by our civil service union Hogs? The most recent outrage is the huge amount of Viagra being offered to Hogs - for no good reason! It seems likely the Hogs are re-selling Viagra to the public for extra cash!)

(Or perhaps the czar will kick councillor butts for handing out grants to the racists of Black Lives Matter? Or maybe the czar will force the Pride Parade organizers to stop obstructing police presence at the Parade?)

(Or what of the bitter feud - semi public between LIE-berals and Metrolinx over spending irregularities? Will the Czar kick butts at arrogant and too often wildy over budget Metrolinx? Will the czar kick butts to get a public reading of the audit of Metrolinx ordered by LIE-berals?)

Toronto will set up a Transit Expansion Office, led by an executive director, with a mandate to ensure the city’s approved plans don’t fall victim to bureaucratic roadblocks.

(Bureaucratic road blocks? What delusional thinking is this? Toronto has NO new transit because Toronto is BANKRUPT! Under orders from Silly Hall, Metrolinx has produced a series of grand new transit visions and each one has foundered on the same tired old problem- NO CASH!)

(I suppose the czar will follow the Silly Hall position that it is the responsibility of other govt levels to bail the city out! The problem with that argument is that Toronto ALREADY gets TEN TIMES MORE PER CITIZEN than any other Ontari-owe municipality!)

The salary range was not immediately available but it was expected to be in line with other brass at the city.

The mayor insisted that this new executive position was not duplicating the work of major project staff already employed at the TTC.

This person, with the backing of the mayor’s office, will work with the TTC, Metrolinx, the province, city bureaucracy and anyone else involved in major transit projects – a one-stop, point-of-contact transit office, Tory said.

(Uh huh- and how much of the czar`s job wil be to ensure that the city screws the province if and when Queens Park ends up controlling TTC? Residents of Durham Region have already seen a smaller version of this CRAP!)

(Some years back, the towns of Pickering, Ajax, Whitby and Oshawa that form Durham Region, amalgamated their individual transit systems and handed them over to the Region to operate!)

(The problem was that Oshawa had UNDERFUNDED its quite generous transit worker pension plan for many years-the usual Hog crap! And of course Oshawa council saw no reason why the Region should not assume its debts as well as its transit equipment!!)

(So the Region went to legal war with various towns siding against the Oshawa Hogs! And I have heard rumours that Whitby alone may have spent a million dollars in legal fees arguing the Oshawa pension mess! So- is the new Toronto czar looking at pulling the same kind of BULLSH+T with the province????)

(WE know that the vast majority of civil service union Hog pension plans are underfunded-as of 2012! And we know that Wynne-bag LIE-berals passed new legislation some years later to define a pension fund as fully paid up if it can meet 85 percent of its bills! So what sort of crap is the new czar planning to dump on Ford govt?)

Tory said he has had some difficulties with the way the TTC has managed large projects in the past, noting that the Toronto-York Spadina extension was blowing by its completion deadline when he arrived in 2014.

“The transit office will help prevent that kind of thing from happening in the future, that projects get so far off track that then it requires dramatic action to get them back on track,” he said.

(Thats ODD! The routinely over budget Metrolinx was created specifically for the same reasons- to avoid political meddling and get things done on time and on budget!)

The city’s transit priorities remain the downtown relief line, the Bloor-Danforth extension to Scarborough, the Eglinton East LRT, the Eglinton West LRT, Smart Track and the waterfront transit network, he said.

(In other words, the same transit plans from three decades ago are still desired! With NO cash in hand to start ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Tory expects that the majority of the new city council will remain on-side with this plan.

The Doug Ford government had promised to upload Toronto’s subway system, but Tory said that would not negate the need for the new transit office.

“That’s hardly a foregone conclusion that there’s going to be that uploading,” Tory said.

(Yes- Tory would be a fool to assume that Ford would quietly accept an Oshawa style pension screwing from Toronto! And of course - given the financial realities- there may be changes to TTC pay and pensions and staffing levels as well- if the province takes over!!!!)

“I’ve made it very clear that it’s not just going to happen because somebody else says so. In this case, there’s a lot more to this than simply passing a bill.”

(Yes- such as who gets to buy all those TTC Hog votes!!!!!!!)

The Ford government passed legislation this summer that reduced the size of council, but Tory said any move to upload the subways would need to address the needs of riders, employees and Toronto taxpayers.

(But unsaid by Tory was his major concerns regarding pension debt and Hog voting support! If this uploading goes fairly- Toronto Silly Hall will be left paying for PAST pension promises to TTC employees who now work for the province!)

And in this related article:

$2-million transit office last thing City Hall needs

By Sue-Ann Levy

Published: November 9, 2018, Updated: November 9, 2018 7:59 AM EST

Filed Under: Toronto SUN/ News/ Toronto & GTA

So let me get this straight.

Did Mayor John Tory really tell reporters Thursday morning that City Hall needs a another layer of bureaucracy — namely a new dedicated transit expansion office — to "avoid bureaucratic delays" with getting transit built in Toronto?

Did he also say that the office will be headed by a transit czar at the executive director level ($200,000-plus) who will "kick butt" so that work happens as fast as it can?

That office, as I learned late in the day, will cost taxpayers $2-million a year and will have up to 15 employees!

(Shall we say the 15 employees will be charged with screwing the province over pension debts if Ford actually TRIES to take over management of TTC HOGS?)

"We need to have a laser-like focus on doing the work needed to get ahead," Tory said.

(HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! a ‘LASER LIKE FOCUS! Apparently Tory THINKS the major work is whining to other levels of govt for MORE GRAVY!)

(And THERE is the entire problem! There are all manner of costly plans......and NO MONEY thanks to ALWAYS WASTEFUL Silly Hall and its Hogs!)

It's not going to last. We're finally forcast for some snow. It's a big storm headed for the Eastern Seaboard of the US but we might get a glancing, sideways blow. We've had a number of nearly green winters over the last few decades.

I'm not going to post the stats for the GTA again just because CC can't compute anything but soros supplied talking points...on any subject. After shoveling at the homeless shelter, I am going to skip doing my own driveway till after the damn snowplow makes me to it, so I don't have to do it again just after.

I still can see the blades of grass sticking up above our massive 3 cm snow fall down here on the shore of a different Great Lake. Not for long, probably but winters are measurably milder here, now.

I've only seen Lake Ontario freeze once since I moved here 35 years ago and yet, the museums are full of old photos of shinny matches and ice boat races off of Toronto's beaches.

The place is warming up.

P.S. I come from Quebec and know what real winter is. My daughter was a newborn when that famous "call out the army" snowfall happened and we have a picture of me holding her in my arms in front of the snowbank running across our yard that was a foot over my 6'-4" head. Yes, Lastman over-reacted and made a fool of himself but that was a real, honest-to-goodhess snowfall of Canadian proportions.

POOR STUPID and not so Curious Cdn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The year the army was called out for Toronto WAS an average year for snowfall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It just ALL CAME AT ONCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

In a 10 day period Toronto suddenly had so much snow there was NO PLACE TO PILE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And could not truck it away fast enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roads were often blocked by stranded cars so plows could not get through- nor fire trucks or ambulances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

It was that which scared Toronto- that there could be a major emergency and NO aid could arrive on blocked side streets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many Toronto houses in the down town core no longer have usable drive ways so on street parking is the norm in many places in the city core!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the suburbs where there are multi car families -on street parking is again becoming common now- especially for families with teens who have cars of their own or for people renting basement apartments..................................

Toronto usually counts on snow melting fairly quickly - the weather cycle produces relatively warm and then snow and then cold- and then cycles back towards warm again- with snow melting fairly rapidly during the warm cycle did not happen this time around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it set up a vicious cycle- roads blocked by snow- with no place to push it and thus roads are blocked by parked cars - meaning that two lanes suddenly SHRINK to ONE lane- often without room enough to let a snow plow work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the event exposed the flawed thinking of condo developers who had failed to allow open sufficient open spaces like lawns where snow could be dumped in an emergency!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was a unique and unusual event that paralyzed city services!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

The open water provides the needed moisture for those huge dumps of snow. I wonder how the east coast of the US would do if the Atlantic did the same as the lake did, 20ft at once??
