Many Canadians and others who are free enough to do it are leaving religions in droves.

A sign of good education. Laïcité.

Canadians are not particularly homophobic or misogynous, although we do have our share, and are somewhat immune to the worst harms, and that might aid to our complacency, but that would not explain the rest of the world's.
