Watercolour paintings by Adolf Hitler sold for $547,000 at a German auction house this weekend.
Before he became a genocidal Nazi tyrant, Hitler wanted to be an artist. He produced hundreds of pieces as a young man.
The 14 paintings sold on the weekend -- which included images of Prague in the fog, a female nude and various buildings in Vienna - were all signed "A Hitler."
The most expensive was a sharp, dark image of a Bavarian castle that sold for $140,000, according to the U.K. Guardian.
The Weidler auction house did not identify the buyers, other than to say they were from all over the world - from China to Brazil -- and that they did not specialize in collecting Hitler artifacts, but rather "have a general interest in high-value art," according to DPA news agency.
German law forbids the sale of Hitler memorabilia, but only if they are tied to his Nazi past, which exempts his art.

he was a heil of a painter.
If only people had bought more of his art then, he may have given up his career in politics.
and the world's population would be nearing 10 billion by now. (< if it wasn't for the certainty other psychos would have filled that void)

let's just stick with the hand we're dealt.
