Taxpayer subsidies is great until they stop. Too bad oil companies don't get subsidies like the so called green industry does.

Those eco-industries cease to exist once the subsidies dry up.. Case in point - Solyndra

US wind energy has applied to renew subsidies again for the 4th time in 20 years (every 5 years).

If you can't make a go of it after 20 years...

Kinda like Tesla throwing a fit and threatening to sue Ontario over that province cutting subsidies to EVs

I'm still laughing over that

Leaving home to go charge the batteries in you e-car is like a pregnant hooker, not doing all that well at their assigned tasks. Homeowner and car designer. Can you get a free charge if the ATM is down??

The current kind that is sub-servant to the banks and industry while taking public funds as 'their job' when really they are common thieves according to their own law books. Not much room for rehab in that combination. Sitting back and watching how it should be done is not as painful as it sounds. (all in your mind, along with how great you and your kind are at running things)
The Union Bosses work for the industry rather than 'the workers'. The Magna-carta was the first 'Union' and all it did was allow Consumers be where the wrath of the Royals was directed rather than at the Business owners. (the same one that lost it all to the bankers in 1815 and Waterloo. A battle that should be examined to see if it was a false flag operation rather than 'quick thinking'. The 'pony express' type of ride would not be needed if the results were known in London even before the sun came up on the 'battlefield' in France, the water would prevent others from getting the news in before the takeover of 'Wall St' was complete.. Similar to planted explosives on 9/11 being a safer bet than some rookie pilot scratching his balls due to the hooker he had during his 'last month on earth' award.
Today the big movement should be consumers being protected from the insane wars of the 'Royals' and from shoddy merchandise put out by the Merchants when the Royals get 'untainted goods'.

Today industry could deal directly with the people and due to making all produced goods exports and all consumed goods as imports they can lay siege to any part of the globe they want. Big or small. Fire the Government and the military and stock the shelves with durable goods and people will join the group without anything happening behind the curtain. Getting the ones that have some things to give the undated version of those things to the poorest is one of the biggest obstacles to overcome when that will result in the nation being the one 'industry' will build it's latest plant in. In the 'old days' if you didn't have a job you had nothing. When nobody has a job as bots are doing a much better job (take your smart phone totally apart and put it back together before posting a reply, it can't be done) 95% unemployment would be a windfall for the tourism and hobby industries. You cannot kill that many people without the 5% wondering if they are next.

I view them as an employment agency and benefit supplier. Our benefits are on par with government which you will not get nonunion in this part of the country.

Unlike gvt, unions don't charge 30% of your wages

Coming up the Ford Mustang all electric SUeV will be taking on the Tesla Model Y SUeV.

To Ford's advantage they will be eligible for the full $7,500 gov rebate while the Model Y will not be.

To Ford's disadvantage is they are Ford while Tesla is Tesla and therefore has a large charging network and zero history of producing horrendous pieces of poop.

Are you mad Ford has the market power and service network to build an affordable EV? Sorry for your proprietary Tesla charging. A Ford can be charged anywhere charging is offered.

Service, distribution and market access does not apply to anything ecotard

Almost... Profitability and financial strength is also something that is totally unnecessary for the ecotard market

Zero history? Really? Say what you want about Fords but I've never seen any spontaneously combust while parked. Can't say the same for Tesla.

You don't remember those early Ford Escapes with their cheap stamped foil-and-plastic, self-immolating ignition switches? The same cars were also recalled to replace the dodgy Firestone tires that they put on them in the plant.

I've seen lots of ICE powered car fires. Doesn't mean they spontaneously combusted.

  • Location: Antwerp, Belgium
  • Vehicle: Model S
  • Status: Charging
This newest incident occurred at a hotel in Belgium, and according to reports the Model S was plugged into a Supercharger station at the time of combustion. The owner of the Tesla said he parked the car, began charging it via the Supercharger and went for a short walk. When the driver returned, the car and Supercharger were in flames. According to HLN , a local news outlet in Belgium, responding firefighters took extraordinary measures to ensure that the fire was doused, dropping the burning Tesla into a large water-filled container and leaving it there overnight.
