Soros is neither left or right his tentacles are everyhwere. He is on he is own side & has no compunction in assisting whoever whenever necessary to get to his ends. What his ends are I have no clue outside of being rich & being philanthropic to who he sees fit.

Dunno that he is neither left or right.....he did give 1.8 millions to NPR the left leaning media organisation that fired Juan Williams because he appeared on Fox

If you lean too much to the left or right, you will fall over. People who self identify with left or right wing politics tend to fly around in a circle and get dizzy from having an overinflated right or left hemisphere of the brain. Either way, it gives them an unbalanced view of life, the world and their own self importance. Politics is just theater. Taking it seriously will cause mental imbalance.

I guess, but I would be a bit worried too if I thought some philanthropist was pumping money into something that was spreading lies - regardless of the political ideology behind it.

Ah, the purpose of life is to weed the truth from the lies. If you start with the assumption that it is all lies, especially when it comes to politics, it makes it easier to deal with what is real.

Bomb found at billionaire philanthropist George Soros' suburban New York home

NEW YORK — A bomb was found in a mailbox at the suburban New York home of George Soros, the liberal billionaire philanthropist who has been denounced by President Donald Trump and vilified by right-wing conspiracy theorists, authorities said Tuesday.
Federal agents safely detonated the device after being summoned Monday by a security officer at the sprawling, wooded compound, about 50 miles (80 kilometres) north of Manhattan. The 88-year-old Soros was not home at the time.
Laura Silber, a spokeswoman for Soros’ Open Society Foundations, blamed the country’s toxic political environment.
The entrance to a house owned by philanthropist George Soros is seen in Katonah, N.Y., a suburb of New York City, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. A device found outside the compound “had the components” of a bomb, including explosive powder, a law enforcement official said Tuesday. Seth Wenig / AP Photo
In recent days and weeks, Soros has been accused of being the hidden hand behind some of the opposition to Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination and helping to create the caravan of Central Americans making their way toward the U.S.
“The hateful rhetoric that dominates politics in the U.S. and in so many countries around the world breeds extremism and violence,” Silber said in a statement. “In this climate of fear, falsehoods and rising authoritarianism, just voicing your views can draw death threats.”
The FBI confirmed it was involved in an investigation but declined to comment. The New York Police Department said that as a precaution, it was sending counterterrorism officers to all Soros-connected sites in the city.
Federal investigators were reviewing surveillance video to determine whether the package containing the bomb had been sent through the mail or delivered some other way, officials said. They said it was unclear if the parcel was addressed to Soros.
A federal law enforcement official who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to discuss the investigation said the device contained explosive powder.
Another federal official who also spoke on condition of anonymity said it appeared to be a pipe bomb and was in a package placed in a mailbox outside the gates of the compound. A Soros employee opened it just inside the gates, nowhere near Soros’ quarters, the official said.
Soros, a Hungarian immigrant to the U.S. who made his fortune in hedge funds, frequently donates to liberal causes and has pledged to invest a half-billion dollars to programs that help people who flee their home countries because of civil war, poverty or political oppression.
“Soros is seen as the boogeyman on just about every right-wing conspiracy theory floating out there,” said J.J. MacNab, a domestic extremism expert at George Washington University. “The sheer volume of chatter makes it probable that someone acted on key figures, mainstream figures, pointing the finger at him. Usually this stuff would just float around on the Internet, but in today’s climate it’s mainstream, where you have elected officials spouting conspiracy theories.”
Soros has been a favourite target conservative commentators, who have accused him of waging war against capitalism and having a secret agenda to destabilize the U.S. government.
As a child in Hungary during World War II, Soros had to hide his Jewish roots, but he is frequently falsely accused of collaborating with Nazis.
Soros has repeatedly denied such allegations.

Most recently, Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida speculated on Twitter that Soros was paying Central American women and children to join the group of migrants headed toward the U.S., though he later backtracked, speculating that drug cartels were to blame.
Trump himself tweeted the suggestion that “Soros and others” were behind the “rude elevator screamers” and activists with “professionally made identical signs” who protested in Washington during Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings.
Activists frequently post the addresses of Soros’ homes on social media, sometimes along with threats.
Silber said Soros is calling on politicians across the political spectrum to “tone down their rhetoric.”
“Words have consequences,” she said.

Soros is the kind of person who just about killed off the Bank of England and almost destroyed the British economy just to make a cool billion on currency speculation. The man has no compunction about potentially destroying a country for his own personal profit. Too bad the bomb intended for him was intercepted.
The world would be better off without Garbage Soros and his Red Tide Foundation.

So, would it be fair to say you approve of the murder of people you disagree with politically?

Interesting fact about Soros:

Tivadar, An Esperantist writer, feeling uncomfortable with the German-Jewish name Schwarz in antisemitic Hungary, changed his family's surname to Soros (which in Esperanto translates to 'will soar' or shall soar') to camouflage the family's roots.

In 1947, George Soros sometimes gave lectures about internationalism in Esperanto in London.

I presume that he'd learnt Esperanto as one of his first languages from his father which may have influenced his internationalist outlook. I also presume that his internationalist outlook is what turns so many against him.

Young George Soros. The current Nazi leader of the democratic party.

His real last name is Schwartz. He changed it to Soros because he felt Schwartz sounded Jewish. He is a Jewish man who denied his ethnicity and faith, and helped the Nazis. He plainly admitted this in his interview with Barbara Walters.

Oooo a 3fer of morons. Yep, we should all applaud Soros for being a greedy, selfish, self-serving, self-centered asswipe. Oh wait, no wonder leftards like him, they ARE like him. Except Soros has money and leftards rely on welfare and handouts from foreign NGO's to protest Canada's resource sector.

He has destroyed currencies and economies of countries to his own benefit. He is admired by the Left as a philanthropic individual but it's all a ruse - he's philanthropic all right - to the Tides Foundation and many others he's set up to actually destroy whatever he needs - who do you think is funding the blockades in Canada? He has more foundations that he feeds his vast wealth through simply to destroy - not build. He hasn't built anything for years - just used his money to enrich himself and destroy others.

Soros was only a suitable target when Obama was potus.

Once they all pair-bonded with Trump it was no longer much good to complain about conniving billionaires.

We never hear about Soros any more.

He's not Jewish in any respect - in fact, I believe he hates Jews and wishes he was never born one. As in any other culture, he's simply one of the bad guys that Trudeau likes listening and taking advice from because it will likely benefit himself and not the Canadians he supposedly represents because he hates us too - you know - we're all racist and bigots right?
