Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced at the NATO leaders' summit in Poland on Friday that Canada will take command of a 1,000-strong multinational force in Latvia, as the alliance beefs up its presence in the Baltics and Poland in response to recent Russian actions.
Wonder what russian actions he is thinking of, ukraine was another attempt at regime change by barac & co. partly foiled by russia reading cia tea leaves, same u.s. prob in syria when russia showed no regard for barac's 'moderate' rebels.
The track record of u.s. actions is far from chest thumping territory, punish saudis for 911 by attacking afghanistan, rid the world of wmd by attacking iraq, rid the world of a legit banker by attacking libya.
Trudeau is blind to all these u.s. disasters making the cia real happy as they welcome a new useful idiot to nato war games.

Not exactly surprising. We punished Japan for Pearl Harbor by attacking Germany.

We're lousy at geography. Sue us.

But let's not pretend Canada will give any commands they don't have our permission to.

No, you went to war with Germany because Hitler declared war on the US. Not that German U-boats weren't having a real fun time along the Eastern Seaboard for a couple of years prior to that.

You're just so cute. We went to war with Germany because that was FDR's priority.

True reinvigorating the cold war pleases the military complex clique but rank and file specially in poland fully understand the folly of huge militarization.
No to War – No to NATO: Protesters in Warsaw Condemn Alliance’s Expansion

Western massaged news reports fail to mention growing resentment of some eu honchos with u.s. meddling in their affairs, nato a u.s. power tool has evolved from a defensive club to an offensive one determined to defang putin. Too bad trudeau cow tows to the u.s. unable to relate reality as france has done.
NATO has no role at all to be saying what Europes relations with Russia should be. For France, Russia is not an adversary, not a threat, Hollande said as he arrived for a landmark alliance summit in Warsaw.

Putin LOSES IT, Warns Journalists of War: 'I Don't Know How to Get Through to You People' (Video)

"Putin railed against the journalists for their "tall tales" in blindly repeating lies and misinformation provided to them by the United States on its anti-ballistic missile systems being constructed in Eastern Europe. He pointed out that since the Iran nuclear deal, the claim the system is to protect against Iranian missiles has been exposed as a lie.

The journalists were informed that within a few years, Russia predicted the US would be able to extend the range of the system to 1000 km. At that point, Russia's nuclear potential, and thus the nuclear balance between the US and Russia, would be placed in jeopardy.

Putin completely lost patience with the journalists, berating them for lazily helping to accelerate a nuclear confrontation by repeating US propaganda. He virtually pleaded with the western media, for the sake of the world, to change their line"

Hollande is a socialist. AKA a communist in an Armani suit. Of course he would like Putin.

If there is a war it will devastate Europe first
I would think sensible people (in Europe) might be against that
they have seen it all before...

I thought America/Germany went to war because of a treaty Japan/Germany had, because Japan and America were at war.

It was the Universe's way of getting Americans to print maps that had more than just America on them ... for a little while, anyway. Just don't ask them to find anything on them. They are mystified by exotic locales like Moose Jaw or Medicine Hat.

I dunno calling a spade a spade is not losing it to my way of thinking, the people of crimea decided to rejoin russia which skewered u.s. designs to push the russian navy out of it's sea port. East ukraine pretty much the same mostly russian speaking so russia offering a moral hand to it's countrymen should not be too tough to grasp. Still the lame stream media uses terms like russian invasion and aggression solely to demonize but remain mute on assorted u.s. hawk visits to kiev....justin jumping in with both feet earns him his hawk wings.

Socialist or no we need more like hollande that can see through washington, what role does nato have in eu internal affairs... none, diddly, zilch. As mentioned if conflict erupts the eu will be ground zero so targeting putin with meaningful rhetoric instead of missiles would be in their best interest imo.

Germany was poised to conquer europe and africa as the u.s. watched until japan attacked pearl harbour forcing america to respond. Hitlers big mistake was biting off more than he could comfortably chew, reniging on his soviet non aggression pact he attacked russia, stalin and the weather trounced his forces. Allies finished the task bombing the crap out of germany and japan, for a short time europe, the u.s. and russia were on the same wavelength.

The west is cranking up the cold war on multiple fronts and a canuck legal eagle is doing his bit, I thought collective punishment was a thing of the past yet mclaren with no time to consult with the accused, present firm evidence or name names recommends all russian athletes be banned from rio.
Using this criteria anyone can prove mclaren is lying.... just don't show it.
