GOLDEN VALLEY, Ariz. — Great American Pizza & Subs, on a highway about 100 miles southeast of Las Vegas, was busier and Trumpier than usual. On any given day it serves “M.A.G.A. Subs” and “Liberty Bell Lasagna.” The “Second Amendment” pizza comes “loaded” with pepperoni and sausage. The dining room is covered in regalia praising President Trump.
But this October morning was “Trumpstock,” a small festival celebrating the president. The speakers included the local Republican congressman, Paul Gosar, and lesser-known conservative personalities. There was a fringe 2020 Senate candidate in Arizona who ran a website that published sexually explicit photos of women without their consent; a pro-Trump rapper whose lyrics include a racist slur aimed at Barack Obama; and a North Carolina activist who once said of Muslims, “I will kill every one of them before they get to me.”

“They label us white nationalists, or white supremacists,” volunteered Guy Taiho Decker, who drove from California to attend the event. A right-wing protester, he has previously been arrested on charges of making terrorist threats.
“There’s no such thing as a white supremacist, just like there’s no such thing as a unicorn,” Mr. Decker said. “We’re patriots.”
As Mr. Trump’s bid for re-election shifts into higher gear, his campaign hopes to recapture voters who drifted away from the party in 2018 and 2019: independents who embraced moderate Democratic candidates, suburban women tired of Mr. Trump’s personal conduct and working-class voters who haven’t benefited from his economic policies.

Robert Purdy - Very true!! Moscow Mitch is the power behind trumps throne. He’s stuffing unqualified judges onto the bench. Judges the Bar Association’s declared unfit. Congress is dead stopped. Moscow Mitch will not allow anything coming out of the house to be seen or heard. It’s power over country. Please vote him out Kentucky.

There’s no completely objective way to measure legal ability, but a common metric used by legal employers to identify the most gifted lawyers is whether those lawyers secured a federal clerkship, including the most prestigious clerkships at the Supreme Court. Approximately 40 percent of Trump’s appellate nominees clerked for a Supreme Court justice, and about 80 percent clerked on a federal court of appeals. That compares to less than a quarter of Obama’s nominees who clerked on the Supreme Court, and less than half with a federal appellate clerkship

Despite what Vox says...

Mr. Wright has done, and is more American, that you could ever dream, Walter.

Or Mitch or Donald for that matter.

If anything, Jim is a TRUE American, unlike a lot of pretenders...

RNC Funded Roughly 11,000 Automated Calls to Jam Up House Democrats' Phone Lines Amid Impeachment Battle: Report

The Republican National Committee (RNC) in recent weeks have reportedly funded thousands of automated phone calls to jam up the offices of dozens of House Democrats amid the fight surrounding the impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.
Two unnamed sources briefed on the effort told The New York Times that the coordinated phone blast tactic aimed to shape public opinion of the investigation, as well as simply to tie up the phone lines of the elected officials. Approximately 11,000 calls were reportedly made as part of the scheme.
The calls were recently discussed at the so-called "Off the Record" dinner, an event attended by more than 12 Republican elected politicians, advisers and aides. Two unnamed sources who were briefed about the event told the Times that RNC officials discussed the phone jamming efforts during the dinner, suggested the calls were automated and admitted it was done to tie up the Democrats' phone lines.
RNC officials said the calls were not prerecorded "robocalls," and asserted that they used a vendor to survey voters. The voters that opposed Trump's official impeachment inquiry were then automatically offered to be connected to the offices of their congressional representatives, according to the officials.

More than 200 Congress members sign amicus brief asking to overturn 1973 Roe v. Wade

A petition gaining support in Congress is calling for Roe v. Wade to be reconsidered. Over 200 lawmakers, including two Democrats, have reportedly signed an amicus brief led by Rep. Steve Scalise in a Louisiana abortion case set to be heard by the Supreme Court this spring.
In their petition lawmakers are advising the court to take up Roe v. Wade again and, if appropriate, should overrule the entire case. The document claims the right to abortion is “unworkable” and that the ruling has set a precedent, which has proven “radically unsettled.” The Supreme Court made Roe v. Wade law in a landmark 1973 ruling, deeming restrictive state regulation of abortion unconstitutional.

I've never watched Fox News? Are they not reliable? If they are not reliable how do all Trump's dissenters know so much about him? Someone is bullshitting somebody!

Typical. They don't get it that it costs a lot more when hospitals and the like have to tend to backyard abortions and the like. If they had any wits at all they would ratify a bill to fork over for contraception, it'd be a lot cheaper than abortions and related health bills.
