There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t rely on computers.
Most people will think the technology is a rather modern phenomenon. But did you know that the Greeks invented the world’s first computer 2,000 years ago?
In 1900, divers found a shipwreck off the coast of the Greek island Antikythera. Buried deep within the vessel was a strange wooden box.
The box contained a cluster of rusted gears. It wasn’t until much later that researchers concluded that the gears were part of an ancient computer.
