Prisoner of islam!

So where's the liberation?

In Afganistasn a man is about to be tried for his life in blatant violation of every human rights mandate ever declared by any civilized socity.

It isn't a matter of christianity for he would be charged with this "crime" even if he were to become an atheist.

This man has NO freedom. He is a prisoner of islam and we're condoning it.

this years dhimmi award goes to...(whos responsible for this fiasco anyway?)

A MAN detained by police for converting from Islam to Christianity could face the death penalty if he refused to become a Muslim again, an Afghani judge said today.

Islamic sharia law proposes the death sentence for Muslims who abandon the religion. Afghanistan's new constitution says "no law can be contrary to the sacred religion of Islam".

Supreme Court judge Ansarullah Mawlavizada said the suspect, Abdur Rahman, was arrested after members of his family informed police of his conversion.

He would be charged with abandoning Islam, Mr Mawlavizada said.

"The prosecutor says he should be executed on the basis of the constitution," Mr Mawlavizada said, who added that Mr Rahman could come back to Islam.

"If he does not ... he will be punished," he said.,10117...-38197,00.html
I got a post on this already.

We're not in Afghanistan to dictate to them how to live. We're there to ensure they have a properly functioning governing body and that the remnants of the extremist Government are eradicated. Does that mean that we don't care they're still ass-backwards in a lot of ways? No, we do care, however it isn't our place to tell them what laws to keep and what laws to remove. A nation has to develop it's own self identity. No one came out and stopped Canada from having public executions in the late 1800's, we evlovled out of it ourselves. To reiterate, yes, we're there to help them, but if we push the help too much the nation with end up resenting us, OR the very people on these forums that blather on about us occupying Afghanistan will be correct.
Do you think we (the allies) had anything to do with allowing women to vote etc, Mogz?
No. Because women are allowed to vote in most Arabic Muslim countries except for the few radical ones.

Saudi Arabia, and others.
But we are talkling about Afghanistan.....
And I still say no.
