Those studies are highly flawed since only suspect brains are chosen to achieve the 99% results.

CTE falls on a spectrum, and—unsurprisingly—professional football players tended to have some of the most severe brain damage compared to players at the semiprofessional or college level.
Eighty-six percent of professional players had severe CTE, whereas only 56% of other groups of players did (excluding former high school players, of whom three out of 14 had any kind of CTE). In total, 84 of the 202 players had severe CTE.

According to family interviews, 89% of these players showed either behavioral or cognitive changes, and 85% of them showed signs of dementia. Among the other 27 players who had only mild CTE, 95% of them had changes in their mental health, such as signs of depression or anxiety.
This evidence is the largest to date that suggests that playing American football leads to lasting brain damage.

Back in 2015, research found that 87 out of 91 players who had donated their bodies to science had evidence of CTE as well.

Yes, so the selection of players who had donated their bodies to science was rigged you are saying?

LOL, I was hoping it was about the death of pro sports as it is entertainment rather than true competition. Expensive as hell thanks to all the PR money poured into it once all avenues are included. Fans deserve a lot more fact for a lot less money.

The Colonial kneelers stood for the Queen, an institution that is Historically one of the top sources of racial and social discrimination on the planet...
lol

Time for some sort of evolution - the human race is doomed.

All the major US sports seem to have dropping Ticket sales

FAN ATTENDANCE: WHY IS IT DECLINING?
Are sports teams everywhere really running out of fans?

We’ve all seen recent reports from major leagues, most notably the NFL but also NBA and NASCAR, that show a decline in fan attendance.

Maybe the unemployment figures are wrong and in reality they can't afford to go to pay these people the major millions.Un employment is contagious.

Pro-sports that are played in Arenas are in decline. Interest alone may not be wavering in the fan base but the expense of the facilities and associated are things owners cannot afford.
It can also be argued that competitive games have less beneficial aspects than games that are based on co-operation. ie two barn building groups come together to build one barn for charity as the farmer was chosen via entering a 'contest'. (crude example but you should have the idea by now)

That being said, NHL Online could be making so much money that the big arena would be equal to throwing it away. Give the fans a service they use from home that allows them to view the game as if they were the cameraman who had access to the whole studio from your own living room. Way cheaper than tickets but you get millions of viewers instead of 100,000 so the income from the game is still there and sales of trinkets could also take advantage of on-line stores.

As if it will make any real difference. Everyone will still bet on the games, that's where the money is.
