That's debatable.

And now that the English footballing academy St George's Park is now up and running, England is producing better footballers than any other country in Europe, if not the world, as is evidenced that, in 2017 alone (in chronological order):

England reached the final of the Under-17 Euro 2017 (lost 4-1 to Spain on penalties after drawing 2-2);

Won the Under-20 Toulon Tournament (beat Ivory Coast 5-3 on penalties in the Final after drawing 1-1);

Won the Under-20 World Cup (beat Venezuela 1-0 in the Final);

Reached the Semi-Finals (last four) of the Under-21 Euro 2017 (lost 4-3 on penalties to Germany after a 2-2 draw);

Won the Under-19 Euro 2017 (beat Portugal 2-1 in the Final);

and, last but not least, won the Under-17 World Cup (beating Spain 5-2 in the Final after being 2-0 down).

With these world-beating youngsters coming through, the senior side stands to dominate the world.

Alli, Kane, Sterling and Rashford and with this and more are England in generation shift and could the least take bronze in 2018's World Cup.

Vardy, Lingard...

Ruben Loftus-Cheek showcased his supreme talent when he made his senior side debut against Germany a few weeks ago.

I'd offer you a bet, but I know you'd weasel out of it when you lost.

Besides, post-Brexit, we'll be wiping our bums with Sterling.

England are good qualification team (again) and they must win 2018 or 2020 they only master chance with new re building national team or which know better?

I will say last semifinal were in 1996's.

I will say Man Utd are better team England's.

Spain, Croatia, Serbia, Belgium and England.

These five countries are my best elect for whining in 2018's World Cup.

England senior side's last Semi-Final was against Germany at Euro 96 when they narrowly lost - it finished 1-1, with England losing 6-5 on penalties. England got to the Semi-Final after beating Spain in the Quarter Final.

And which England player was it who needed to score their penalty in order to keep England in the match but instead sent the ball flying over the crossbar to win the game for the Hun? None other than Gareth Southgate, who is now England's manager.

As a result, Southgate became a bit of a national villain, but he saw the funny side of it. He later famously appeared in a Pizza Hut advert with then fellow England star Stuart Pearce and former England star Chris Waddle - with Southgate in disguise by wearing a brown paper bag on his head.

Southgate after missing THAT penalty at Euro 96

Argentina and Portugal will not win the World Championship as well as Russia and Sweden and Mexico as usual plus France any more of old big powers.

Does not believe Mexico will go to last 16.
