Idiots have to bear some responsibility for girls' demise!

A conviction of the father of the two girls murdered in Oak Bay will show what f**ked up individuals we have setting down rulings in family court, the ruling being the girls were in no significant danger of coming to any harm. The court heard how the father had previously threatened to blow up the house. (Reported on C.B.C. radio news this morning)

BC has a disgraceful record in regards to children and children's welfare. Literally nothing would surprise me anymore.

But horrible Horgan promised to change all that. Said something about it being a Liberal problem that would go away the second he was anointed emperor.

Look, just because the Liberals spent ten years cutting all child welfare programs and basically all social programs to the bone and totally ruined all relationships with the public sector does not mean it isn't an NDP problem.

Actually it was damn good while Mary Ellen Turpel - Lafond was in charge, but she's gone now!

He's going to look good to a lot of people for awhile..............until he has to raise taxes to pay the bills! As far as the reduction in medical premiums go, Christy had already addressed that before she left. Hope the Dippers don't have the audacity to take credit for it!

THe Liberals were going to remove it completely but that wasn't good enough for the dippers. They figure cutting it in half is much better for the people. Dipper logic.

Healthcare is an excellent system in southern Sweden and we are the top 8 in the world in this and goes into this development every month in money making.

Yes and no. I think if people have to contribute something to their health, it may encourage them to take better care of themselves. Actually what better investment can a person make than for his health? Many will spend three times the amount to destroy it.

I am. While they were in power they spent over $100,000 on my behalf. If they weren't there to pay it I might be dead. People don't seem to need much to whine about! And the Dippers are the worst offenders!

Yea life is tough . Try waiting 6 months for an appointment with a specialist and another year for surgery .Or go see Dr.Day and experience no waits .

Try being one of the 331 children in government care that died under the Clarke regime.

She ought to be tried in The Hague.

BTW this guys trial was in nov 2016 - when Clarke was running the show into the ground.

All the social services problems are, were, and always will be an NDP problem for the simple fact that well over 90% of the government workers involved in the multitudes of social service agencies are NDP supporters.

What Clarke are you talking about?

Politics aside, this incident boils down to a single case in family court (probably involving only a handful of people) who decided and ruled that the father did not pose a hazard to the well being of the girls. I have no idea what can be done to them except to ensure they are never again serving in a capacity where they are the recipient of public funds. Just more examples of useless bureaucraps!

I see Putz is so f**king stupid that he even "red negs" established facts substantiated by Vital Statistics. Congratulations to Pete who started a very appropriate Nom De Plume on his behalf. Way to go, Pete!

The minister has no part in this. This is a classic example of letting socialist do-gooders miss manage things. A minister does not have the power to override a stupid decision by a judge.

I have a good idea. Any bureaucraps in the public realm who make decisions that can have an impact on the public should be required to deposit 50 grand in a trust fund, to be returned to their next of kin upon their demise should there be no adverse effects from any of their decisions. These bastards need their toes held close to the stove!

There should certainly be a way to make them financially liable for their incompetent fukkups instead of the taxpayer.
