The corporations and the Republicans have accomplished what they set out to do. Cut taxes, with increased military spending and promises to donate a few more billion to Israel and where the average Israeli earns more than the average American. Each Israeli will receive about 15 hundred bucks each while Americans are asked to expect less. Since the time of Bill Clinton, 8 million Israeli citizens have received 100 billion in grants and freebies. (Israel does not tax any corporate income which is earned offshore,.... Is it any wonder why they beg for financial aid?)

And we now await the midterm election of the Democrats who will need to cut social programs and raise taxes on the lower class in order to place the economy on a sustainable course.

The 2020 election will arrive, and the talking points will be about the Democrat tax increases, cuts in military spending and civil unrest which will then have the Republicans blaming the Democrats for the continuing decline of the American Empire.

Hi! PGS

If Republicans maintain control of both the congress and the senate, the cuts to social programs will be much more severe and the civil unrest will increase much more quickly.

Each in turn, the Republicans will be cutting social programs and taxes when in office and the Democrats will be legislating the path to a police state.

Both parties will be singing the Rodney King tune in unison ..... "can't we all just get along?"

If the Rep. retain both houses the wall will be built, Bama care will be overhauled, China will sign a deal, and the economical machine will go into overdrive

Its a well-established fact that American politics is static. Once one party gets into power they stay there forever.

There is nothing like a pendulum going on. Where power flows back and forth between the two parties.

That is fake news.

Right.

1961 - 1969 Democratic president

1969 - 1977 Republican president

1977 - 1981 Democratic president

1981 - 1993 Republican president

1993 - 2001 Democratic president

2001 - 2009 Republican president

2009 - 2017 Democratic president

2017 - present Republican president

That is seven swings in 58 years. Yep, a pendulum.

The Dems ruled for 28 years, the GOP for 29 years.

Yep, a pendulum.

For comparison, Canada:

1961 - 1965 Conservative gov't.

1965 - 1979 Liberal gov't.

1979 -1980 Conservative gov't

1980 - 1984 Liberal gov't

1984 - 1993 Conservative gov't

1993 - 2006 Liberal gov't

2006 - 2015 Conservative gov't

2015 - present Liberal gov't.

That is 23 years of Conservative gov't, and 34 years of Liberal gov't.

With (excluding Joe Clark's six month interuption of the Liberals' 19 year run) seven changes.

Canada is more static than the USA

That is a big BIG problem for the Democrats.

Just like Democrat Sen. Liz Warren said... "We need to turn this country around."

In other words, more unemployment and more dependency on the Government.

If it wasn't for a handful of idiots on the forum, we'd be mostly oblivious to the "world ending" problems Trump is "causing".

While I certainly won't argue that you are very, very oblivious, oblivion and denial are not quite the same thing.
