If once you've lost muscle mass due to old age if you can stop or better still reverse the process and if so how? I try to keep moving but not sure how much good it actually does. I can still walk quite a few miles a day at a reasonable pace. A lot of it up hills!

Do you find that you're walking up hills more than you're walking down hills?

Part of the task is to have a reason to go outside, walking in a circle means you have a big hole in your life. I walk that much but the task is to escort the dog on her walk.

Quite often but never when I end the walk at the place it started. Strange that!

How often do you manage to get back to where you started?

My two best muscle building exercises are cycling & swimming and Yes they build muscle mass.

What one MD told me-and I have found it to be true-is that a person should do high rep/low strain exercises-take the long way home as it were and have the bike in as low a gear as practical.

The Good News is that cycling is easier than walking and there is No Bad News.

How much of that exercise thing is to get the blood flowing fast enough your arteries don't plug up with fatty deposits??

For the rest of us using vinegar as the only salad dressing (take 1oz per day somehow) That will do more for healthy blood-streams and $300 worth of med from the Pharmacy. That means steak is back on the menu, with an extra splash of vinegar on your salad or in your water.

I guess a person with your mentality could use a hint. I get to sleep in my own bed every night.

Hint: The 'start' for everybody is the moment of conception is when they take their last breath. There is hindsight and that can be very helpful, or a curse. How many times have you personally hit reverse and it 'worked' to any degree, let alone 'successfully'.
The closest it came for me is was 'group' during the final stages of a bad marriage. There was a lot more back-tracking but all the events remained as they were when they first happened. The 'change' is using the group to 'imagine' how an adult version of your child would handle the situation'. The 'role-playing' was supposed to help the people in the group from reacting to a similar situation today like they did when they were 3 (or whatever).

That makes your 'new reaction' something that has only to do with the person in front of you rather than there goes the rest of the evening, and then some in most cases. For me, being silent when I had something to say on the subject was caused by anxiety. That is a work in progress, down to hours rather than days or never. Facts are pretty emotionless, for me, I'm sure they make a few people here squirm. Do I care, nooo. (not at the moment, hazards of trying to live in the moment by being spontaneous to what I am reading) I'm no doubt disadvantaged in a few ways, most of you people are hopelessly trapped.

Nice Robot. Is that your reward slave??
How many nights do you have a lot of other choices, or no bed to lay down on.
