Exclusive: Covid-19 may not have originated in China, Oxford University expert believes

Coronavirus may have lain dormant across the world and emerged when environmental conditions were right for it to thrive - rather than starting in China, an Oxford University expert believes.
Dr Tom Jefferson, senior associate tutor at the Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (CEBM), at Oxford, and visiting professor at Newcastle University, argues that there is growing evidence that the virus was elsewhere before it emerged in Asia.
Last week, Spanish virologists announced they had found traces of the disease in samples of waste water collected in March 2019, nine months before the coronavirus disease was seen in China.
Italian scientists have also found evidence of coronavirus in sewage samples in Milan and Turin, in mid-December, many weeks before the first case was detected, while experts have found traces in Brazil in November.
"There was a case in the Falkland Islands in early February. Now where did that come from?

You can always find a lot of hateful bastards who don't realize things aren't always what they seem. The hatred towards some Oriental individuals is sickening. They have some of the best minds.

Yet we could ignore it from 2019 but not in 2020? I find this not really credible. It was a pandemic type event first in China.

Perhaps that is one of the core reasons for the "hatred".......... jealously They also have an incredible work ethic. There is much wisdom in their culture......given that it has survived and evolved through many many years.

Of course their gov is another story........It's core value seems to be power, control, where humanity and rights of matter little.

Why did the NZ PM order the military to crack down on the recent COVIDD-19 cases?
The recent COVID-19 cases are KIWIS returning home from foreign countries like India and USA.
The military have been called in to help the Customs guys as we don't have enough airport staff to deal with the influx.
Sometimes national N.Z. airports close when an air traffic controller calls in sick.
With automation, these jobs will go to one master controller, probably in Wellington.
It ain't easy being green, as Kermit once sang.

Authorities (such as they are) are giving up on contact tracing throughout the south. The virus is spreading far too rapidly.
