action to go to war with civil service union HOGS as Harper did - to freeze their wages - OR Mulroney COULD
make major changes to the Cdn economy and open up Canada EVEN FURTHER to Yankee ownership!
Slick talking LAWYER Mulroney THOUGHT he could balance off all the competing demands - of Cdns for tax relief; of HOGS for more
gravy; of Yankees for some debt repayment!
Unfortunately Mulroney succeeded only in persuading Cdn Conservatives that the survival of their party REQUIRED

If you will recall - LIE-beral Jean Chretien campaigned ON A PROMISE TO KILL THE GST - and a LOT OF CDNS LIKED THAT!
And in typical fashion - after he was elected - he told us we COULD NOT AFFORD to kill the tax!
LIE-berals DID NOT VOLUNTARILY ADOPT Conservative frugal ways!
It was FORCED ONTO LIE-berals by our bankrupt status!
And as soon as growing oil revenues permitted - LIE-berals ran right out and BURIED US IN DEBT YET AGAIN!
And that brought Stephen Harper into power to restore logic and order!
Things got so INSANE under LIE-beral Chretien that even the LIE-beral loving Toronto Star ran photos of
LAID OFF CIVIL SERVICE UNION HOGS lounging around union halls and warehouses etc!
There was NO WORK FOR THEM - BUT GOVT WAS REQUIRED TO PAY THEM under HOG Union agreements
until such time as they got another job just as good as the former govt ones! And YOU KNOW that did not happen!

While handing out crumbs to ordinary people - many of whom have NO CHOICE but to sell us groceries and tend to old folks and etc!
