No different that trying to say someone cannot advocate for electric cars if they are still driving a gas burner.
They are driving gas burner because they have to.
That's the problem.
Because electric cars are still in the rich mans toy catagory. Their time may come but there are other types of propulsion with greater potential for long haul and heavy work.

Yep socialism paid for by a municipal tax rate set on property value and a surcharge in our area is $1700.00 that covers cost of travel and fire truck time, fire fighters are volunteers.

H'mm sounds to me like it's actually capitalism paying for a service that benefits both rich and poor.

But that's your definition of socialism. Services that benefit all. You should be advocating a model of fire companies that only serve paying customers. That's capitalism.

Out here they do, all pay municipal taxes and receive the benefit of it, you get your own cat out of a tree unless you want to pay the surcharge for their service.

But taxslave's whole schtick is that he hates taxes.

Again, under his notion of "capitalism," you either pay for fire service or you don't. If you don't and your house catches fire, good luck and maybe a neighbor will donate a bucket.

I hope you understand that at the inception of fire services (about 200 years back), many of them were set up that way. So were many early police forces. When there was a break-in at a shop, the first thing the cops checked was whether the owner was a paying customer. If not, oh well. . .

I hate taxes as we all do, but all these services are paid for in the Capitalist way, the haves pay more than the have less the trickle down effect in it's full glory. All benefit the same amount of service with money provided by their economical strength in the country, these are voluntary collectives not mandated social services. Everyone of these services can be withdrawn from Federally and relocated Provincially, locally or withdrawn from all together including Healthcare.

Where I'm sure Taxslave like myself and many others are taking exception is that many able bodied persons are taking advantage of our tax dollars, going as far as demanding more, and not chipping in or helping in any meaningful way in the collective taxpayer's cause. see Cliffy as a prime example ;)

Obviously I can't speak for the others and would have to be classified as IMO of course

It seems it's another topic over his head.
Socialism - a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
The gov't (the community as a whole part) trains people to fight fires. It compensates them. It provides the equipment. It regulates them. It extracts money from the community to pay for it. etc. Socialism.

Over whose head? You arent sitting in the bar Poopsie and this is not Twatter.
Public works and services are not socialism
It's an augmentation to an COROPORATION.
You live in an corporation not a "socialist community".
