A BAR has been slammed for cashing in on the coronavirus outbreak by offering cut-price Corona for “as long as pandemic lasts”.

House of Hood, in Hamilton, New Zealand, was called “tasteless” for offering the beer for $6.50 (£3.18 ) a bottle.

NZ$6.50 is the equivalent to £3.18, and I'd be pissed off if I went into a bar in Bolton and it charged £3.18 just for a bottle of beer. You can buy bottles of beer for £1.25 in my local ASDA supermarket.

Four new UK coronavirus cases among ship evacuees



Four of the cruise ship passengers brought to the UK have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the number of UK cases to 13.

The passengers caught the virus on board the Diamond Princess cruise ship in Japan, England's chief medical officer Prof Chris Whitty said.

The patients are being transferred from Arrowe Park hospital in Wirral to specialist NHS infection centres.

The evacuees were flown back from Japan on Saturday.

The 30 Britons and two Irish citizens were beginning a two-week quarantine in nurses' accommodation at the hospital.

It comes as more than 100 Britons rescued from China ended their isolation in Milton Keynes on Sunday.

SHOCKING CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: I walked at a normal pace into the local Sobey’s, found as much water, toilet paper, paper towels and disinfectant wipes as I wanted, took them to the front and bought them. Many other people did likewise. Lots left over. The End.

And cat food. Lots of cat food. Are people not thinking about their pets or are pets a future meal? Either way they should be fed.

Suddenly the old insult "I wouldn't touch you with a ten-foot pole" is good public-health practice.

True story: A woman I know was just diagnosed with Lyme disease. I hope she doesn't get coronavirus as well, because corona with Lyme would just be too ridiculous.
