GET USED TO WINNING !!!
In a war , if the aggressor does not win, its a loss.
....................
Afghanistan: US and Afghan soldiers killed in attack.
....
Two US troops as well as an Afghan soldier have been killed in an attack in eastern Afghanistan.
Nine people were injured in the attack in Nangarhar province on Saturday.
"Reports indicate an individual in an Afghan uniform opened fire on the combined US and Afghan force with a machine gun," US military spokesman Col Sonny Leggett said.
Some 13,000 US troops remain in Afghanistan after the US intervention to oust the Taliban in 2001.
"We are still collecting information, and the cause or motive behind the attack is unknown at this time," Col Leggett said in a statement.
The attacker who opened fire was also killed during the clash, Sohrab Qaderi, a provincial council member in Nangarhar, told Reuters news agency.
The Afghan ministry of defence said a delegation was investigating the incident together with the US team in Nangarhar.
During a visit to American troops in Afghanistan last November, US President Donald Trump pledged to "substantially" reduce troop numbers.
The Taliban now control more territory than at any point since they were ousted in 2001.
Peace talks between the US and the militants have stalled in recent months.

So you have realized how ridiculous your post was?
*snicker*
Oh, I screwed up.
I was referring to the 1980 Iran-Iraq War, when US was supporting Iraq, after removing them from the "Terrorist" list of countries in Feb.82 and
supplying Iraq with tactical info.via the C.I.A. with computers, transport aircraft , heavy trucks etc. although paying lip service to "Operatron Staunch" which was the isolation of Iran from trading, especially for acquiring arms and parts of weapons supplies to Iran by U.S. prior to the Iranian Revolution.
Sound familiar?
Yet U.S. looked the other way when Israel supplied just these parts, Tomcat spares, Silkworm missiles, Bell helicopter bits , etc.to the Komeinis war machine.
Ostensibly allies, U.S. Israel found themselves supporting opposite sides in a war when both warring parties were stridently anti-American and anti-Israel.
This untidy bit of info was disquieted as the "IRAN CONTRA AFFAIR" which was gibberish enough so no one could digest it.
This led to the Tanker War, shooting at oil tankers in the Straights of Hormuz.
U.S designated Kuwaiti oil tankers were flagged to American interests, to allow American protection in the gulf.
Kuwait was bank rolling Iraq to continue the war against Iran, but the first and largest vessel re-designated hit an Iranian mine, to Americas embarrassment.
Then USN Stark got attacked by an Iraqi aircraft and shot by 2 Exocet missiles which killed 37 American sailors and disabled the vessel for years.
Sadam apologised calling it a honest mistake, as the boat sailed into the Iraqi Excursion Zone.
Misidentifiction in the fog of war.
So Regan accepted Saddams explanation then proclaimed on public TV that Iran was responsible.
The actual U.S. Navy inquiry told the truth but was not publicised.
Then the USS Vincennes popped Iran Air flight 655, shooting down the Airbus A300, killing all of the 290 passengers on board.
Regan called it "Our right to help defence" as the Vincennes commander took measures to protect his ship from "Iranian Tomcats".
Truth be told, according to US Navy records was that the Vincennes was in Iranian territorial waters violating international law, and was climbing, not descending to attack, and was on its regular daily flight path.
The U.S. publicised version was all out lies.
When a cease fire was achieved , Caspar Weinburger, claimed that shooting down the Iranian airliner was the straw that broke the camels back and Iran was defeated.
Saddam wanted royalties for defending Kuwait and invaded Kuwait becauseKuwait didn't agree so here comes "Operation Desert Storm", with Stormin' Norman.
Stay tuned for "Eternal
War".
No snicker, just digest.

Believe it when the week is over.

The Taliban can't be trusted.

It's amazing someone like Eagle would trust the Taliban at all.

Maybe he's a secret Taliban supporter. :O
