Because some people are living beyond their means.
And the economy is BOOMING.
However, if the Democrats get their wish, the economy will grind to a slow trickle.

That's your interpretation but I am more than sure many American families who are struggling under this economy would differ with you. The economy is booming, perhaps for the wealthiest, not so much for all.

Trump seeks to bend executive branch as part of impeachment vendetta

The president aims to protect his friends and punish his foes, even at the risk of compromising the Justice Departments independence and integrity.

Who does Trump think he is.... Obama?!

Senate approves measure to prevent Trump from taking further military action against Iran without Congress's approval

The vote marks lawmakers latest bipartisan attempt to compel the White House to involve them in foreign policy decisions. The measure, which still has to pass the Democratic-controlled House, lacks enough support to overcome an expected presidential veto.

Trump will just see this as sometingelse to oppose..........even if just for opposition sake..

In addition, a person working minimum wage cannot possibly believe that income should be able to afford an apartment. The idea of a minimum wage being a livable wage is a new idea. It what meant for teenagers. That is what they pay fast food workers. Geez.
Yeah, the economy is booming, manufacturing is down, prices of goods is up, and yet deficits are way up. And the wealthy don't pay any taxes. See a pattern? Can you predict anything?

You forgot wages are up, highest employment....

Oh and wealthy don't pay taxes... how silly.

I see a pattern of winning and I predict the rivers of liberal tears will continue to flow freely.

BTW... The USN seized a shipment of Iranian weapons in the Arabian Gulf.

Give me a minute to head outside to hear your screams.

Nope, not saying that at all. Saying that Trumps economy not the bed of roses he touts it to be.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2020/feb/11/trump-economy-poor-americans-vulnerability

In America today, 140 million people are poor or low wealth. While three individuals own as much wealth as all of them put together, the real cost of living has soared as wages have stagnated. Since the 1970s, the number of people who are paying more than a third of their monthly income in rent has doubled, and there is not a single county in the nation where a person working full-time at minimum wage can afford to rent a two-bedroom apartment. Sixty per cent of African Americans are poor or low-income, as are 64% of Hispanics, but the largest single racial group among America’s poor and low-income – 66 million Americans – are white.
Yet most of those poor own color TVs , communicate via computer , have cell phones and drive their own cars . Go figure .

Tell me is your cell phone (or land line) something you consider to be a luxury? Or is it a necessity that would see you forego other needed expenditures in your life. Considering the many important roles a phone plays in today's society, like oh I don't know, seeking employment, needed connectivity with family or emergency services, communication with employers and service providers I don't look at a cell phone as a luxury at all. And since most phones today are basically a computer, it could cancel out the need for one.

Driving a car? Okay I can see your point on that one, somewhat. For some families a car too is more necessity than it is luxury and will sacrifice other necessities to maintain one. Again for reasons like accessibility to and from work, looking for work, caring for sick family members etc. Or if necessary, to live in.

Color TV's? Are we talking state of the art latest technology largest TV's on the shelf or one that can be picked up at the corner thrift store for mere dollars in comparison?

You seem to want poor people to be standing on a street corner holding out a tin can with absolutely nothing in their possession. You have a cell phone? You're not poor! You have a TV? You're not poor! You have a car? You're not poor! It's not that simple.

Remember the heartwarming story of little Janiyah Davis, the African American 4th grader who attended Trump's SOTU address and who he boasted about although his boasts weren't entirely true?

https://www.inquirer.com/news/donal...phia-janiyah-davis-mast-charter-20200208.html

Well, yet another heartwarming story that Trump took credit for in his SOTU address about attendee Tony Rankins turns out to be not so true either.

Some will blindly believe ANYTHING this man says.

Attorney General William P. Barr says Trump's tweets make it 'impossible for me to do my job'

Barr's comments, made in an interview with ABC News, come as the attorney general faces growing scrutiny related to questions about the Justice Department's independence. Four prosecutors handling Roger Stones criminal case withdrew from the proceedings this week amid an internal dispute over what prison sentence they should propose for President Trump's longtime confidant.

I think it's a ploy. I think both of them want it to appear that Barr is making decisions independent of Trump's influence. When it is clear that he is not.
