Yeah, it figures. The New Destruction Party wasn't finished killing off the mining and forest industries here. Apparently they want to turn BC into a tourist trap with everyone getting minimum wage doing service work.

If you knew anything about BC or forestry you would understand how long the decline has been going on and who created it

Since the 90s when the dippers were last in power. Center for alternatives to policy is a dipper dogma distributor. Nothing more. The whole think is based on a thesis by Tom Gunton(sp?) on how the government could take over the forest industry with government employees by first killing the industry. Horgan was part of that government.

BC forestry has been in decline for decades

One the of the worst things that ever happened was the SOCRED destruction of the forest service as detailed in the link I provided.

Not sure how anyone could live in BC their whole life and think the NDP had somehow destroyed the forest industry.

Gordon Campbell single handedly destroyed the forest industry in BC by gutting the Forest Ministry and putting the (mostly) American owned companies in charge of the hen house and allowing them to ship raw logs. The BC Liberals/BC Reform/Socreds trashed this province giving it away to their rich backers. The industry knew back in the 80s that their practices were unsustainable and predicted the end on the industry within 20 years. It has been on life support ever since.

Because we are ot were loggers idiot. And it wasn't somehow. It has been a deliberate act. The original plan was to make it all government employees as per Tom Gunton's thesis. He was one of Glen Clark's main advisors on the destruction of the forest industry. You know even less about logging than you do about oil and gas. DO try to learn at least a smigin about any topic you post on.

You are as stupid as hoid. You guys really need to try and read the news once in a while. Maybe don't suck on all 4 hoses on your Hookah at the same time.
Actually mixing in the problems the mills have with the NDPee destruction of the logging industry clouds both issues. They are not totally related although NDPee policies and ecotard pressure has a direct impact on both.

Gutted the Forestry? Ya mean after the Dippers overloaded it with sponging employees? We have a friend that worked in Forestry before she retired and she said there were people doing nothing but reading newspapers and playing games on the net for most of the days they were there. There were also the same sort in Social Services and probably all or most of the other departments, too. So they NEEDED gutting to get rid of the freeloaders on the public teat.
Not only that but the Dippers doubled the prov's public debt every time they got in. They also boosted welfare payouts so there was a pretty good influx of people from other provinces coming here to help the public debt load get bigger.

Ya goof, I've only lived in BC for nearly all of my life so I know nothing about the province. Get a grip.
Now, now Anna.......take it easy on poor hoidie. He's proven from the beginning that not only is he severely intellectually challenged - he will also at will change courses in midstream.
