That's pretty unfair. Quebec and Ontario have a far bigger population than all the other provinces and the territories put together, so you're advocating for the status quo. No wonder AB mumbles about separation occasionally.
Yes, their votes should be worth many times more than mine, instead.

Yeah, you are. As I said most of Canada's voter population is in ON and QC so what the people in those province want is what goes regardless of what westerners want. It's why we've had mostly Liberal governments through history.

I see you ignored the question about Hilton Beach. Do you think it should have the same number of MPPs as Toronto?

No. You only think so because you arent open to the option of changing the authority of the senate or the division of powers between federal and provincial governments
Baloney. You're almost as addled as MHz.
Post #73, "the fed gov't is far too influential and should divest some powers to the provinces. That would be a start."
SO what's your solution, in detail, if you don't mind.

I'm not surprised. They're cheap enough. Even a truck driver can afford one. Are they doing as well as the one in your thread?

You must be a disappointment to your daughter.. children want someone to look up to, then she has you.. So sad.

No wonder your wife dumped you.. Such a depressing loser you are..

So it’s interesting that some folks think giving PEI the same representation of Alberta is perfectly reasonable yet giving Hilton Beach the same representation as Toronto isn’t. I believe some people will support any idea that they think benefits them without giving much thought to the general principles driving the idea. No intelligent person would expect (or should expect) a senate system mirroring the US without proposing a drastic devolution of powers from the federal government to the provinces. While I don’t necessarily have a problem with that philosophically, it just isn’t going to happen given the current political climate.

BTW Boomster, I’m always in the marker for vacation properties but not timeshares. I would rather purchase. I’d say “keep me in mind if you see anything good” but your standards are considerably below mine so don’t bother.

The Libertarian philosophy is "What's in it for me?", and fair and proportional representation does not contain a lot of "me" and it has way too much "us".

I don’t see it as selfish as “what’s in it for me”. In fact, it’s quite the opposite. I see the socialist philosophy as “what’s in it for me”. I don’t want anything “for me”

Never mind Putz. His goal is to derail every thread he can.
