Would PMV (Surrey,Delta Port Moody, Vancouver North Vancouver) be the largest export port without potash and grain?

Where would be without those two commodities? BC or WA?

Off the top I would guess B.C. Just for fun I'm going to check the value of Potash exports, which I'm guessing isn't even 1/10 of 1% of BC exports. Are we still shipping wheat to China?

Potash price averaged $354 per ton in August 2018, $29 per ton higher than the $325 price in 2017. The September 2018 price was $357 per ton, $37 per ton higher than the $320 price in 2017. The 2018 prices still are below 2009-2018 averages of $482 in August and $481 in September.

Value of potash shipped from Canada (all ports) $6.7 billion annually.

Nothing but moves 8 million more TEUs per year?

Can I add Tacoma, Everett, Bellingham and the rest of the Northwest Port Alliance or do we compare PMV to just Seatlle?
Seattle total trade 20.5 million short tons

Vancouver total trade 147 million metric tons

Vancouver ships more freight in a month than Seattle does in a year

BTW no American coal allowed out of Seattle - do you honestly think they are going to allow Alberta bitumen?

Not really surprising when you consider Canada has possibly 6 main ports, which is likely fewer than Calif. alone.

lol the port of Seattle is nothing.

you know as much about Seattle as you know about Manitoba - which is to say nothing.

Try not to be an asshole...………..you can simply say "you are mistaken about Seattle", so you are not hammering home your own ignorance!

Price is irrelevant. Tonnage and TEUs are the metrics that matter.

Are you comparing Metro Port Vancouver which Roberts Bank is part of to just Seattle instead of the Northwest Seaport Alliance? I'd say so.

Tankers in and out of Puget Sound don't care about content.

Want to try again on MB too?

you couldn't ship a gallon of that Alberta crud out of Seattle

they don't want it

and no Im not comparing Seattle to Vancouver because they are not comparable. Vancouver is a major port, seattle is not.

There isn't a Shell refinery in WA getting feedstock from AB? How about former BP refinery Cherry Point? Ferndale? Anacortes?

there is no western separatist movement, fact
More of your bullshit.
There is a western separatist group. I don't think they are very organized yet. There is also a group that wants to make the west of both countries into a new country. Again I don't think they are very organized but they are around.

I don't think it would work, thanks to a lot of snobby Canadian attitudes towards Americans.

Alberta just had an election and elected zero separatists.
