The Canadian Federation of Students held an emergency rally at Queen's Park to protest cuts to OSAP and campus groups that accompanied the planned 10 per cent tuition reduction at Queen's Park in Toronto on Jan. 18, 2019.
(So there is the first bit of LIE-beral insanity! That a ten percent tuition REDUCTION distresses students!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The attack on young people across this country — often from their own governments, no less — is appalling and needs to stop.
(And which “young people” were being represented when senior college and university staffers DEMANDED IMMEDIATE pay raises nearing FIFTY PERCENT - from the Wynne-bag LIE-berals about 4 months before the June 2018 election?? Civil service union HOGS were INSANE to think that even shameless vote buying LIE-berals would respond favorably to such a demand!)
Not surprisingly, the worst of these attacks are happening right now in Ontario, thanks to the Conservative government of Doug Ford. In the past couple of weeks, he has slashed student aid and ended free tuition for students from low-income families. He has made it tougher for mature students to get financial aid and has ended the grace period for graduating students to pay back their loans.
(So the REAL BEEF HERE is that in order to control the crippling $16 billion dollar LIE-beral Ontari-owe deficit- Ford has made it harder for senior educators to extort money from helpless kids!! How is it an “attack on kids” that educators feel free to use their Monopoly stranglehold on education to DEMAND whatever tuition money they feel like from kids being held to ransom- the kids NEED an education and must obtain it from a VICIOUSLY GREEDY union HOG MONOPOLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(By limiting the not so free “tuition grants” and by limiting OSAP borrowing- Ford limits the amount of price gouging that Hogs can engage in!! And it enlists kids in the fight against HOG inflation that is crippling the kids future with debt!! It is the MASSIVE DEBT that LIE-berals and HOGS want to HIDE from our sight!!!!!!!!!!!)

All from a leader claiming to speak for the people. Really, does anyone still believe that?

That $16 billion dollar deficit will take MANY DECADES to pay off- and kids are all on the hook for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Is it not odd that HOGS WHINE BITTERLY that it is “not fair” to make kids pay for Ford spending cuts- but HOGS NEVER discuss the injustice of making kids pay for gravy that LIE-berals heaped on HOGS in exchange for votes?? And now that the public is DISGUSTED by the gravy train EXCESSES- HOGS are whining at the “injustice” of the Ford govt WE ELECTED!! HOGS are protesting the common sense and logic that is VALUED by the general public!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Students can, and will, fight back — even though the Ford government has attacked independent student unions' essential ability to represent and serve their members by enabling students to opt out of ancillary fees such as student government.
(Oh that is REALLY FUNNY!! Letting kids opt out of ancillary fees LIMITS the amount of price gouging by educators and social MANIPULATORS!! This Ford style thinking is anathema to union HOGS who see nothing wrong with compelling union members - and Student Union members pay dues so that HOG leaders can meddle in politics and social issues regardless of the views and values of rank and file members!! AS always an eeite group of HOGS reserves the right to tell US what is good for us!!!!)
The cynicism required to not only attack students but also their ability to push back is simply astounding, and undemocratic. This doesn't make any sense.

We aren't going to fix the problems we face as a country by making it tough for our best and brightest, regardless of their families' income, to go to school.
(We are making more problems than we are solving by driving the country into bankruptcy as we BORROW to fund the HOG Gravy Train! It is too bad that HOGS are deliberately BLIND to their own vile pursuit of utterly selfish goals at the expense of the kids they are PRETENDING to defend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
All this will also leave universities and colleges with less money, thanks to the tuition cut. The Ford government's response? Basically, suck it up.
(Since fully 25 percent of kids graduating from main stream post secondary education end up declaring bankruptcy and since a massive cohort of kids in their late 20`s and 30`s are still living with parents as they cannot afford to live on their own- there is AMPLE evidence that the cost of education IS TO HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Further- there is ample evidence to clearly prove that BORROWING more money to give to HOGS will actually and actively INJURE the kids economically!!!!!!!!!!)

True, perhaps, but that's no excuse for making things worse, and we need only look to Alberta as proof of that.
The NDP government in Alberta has frozen tuitions in that province for the past four years, and offered $17 million to colleges and universities to help them make up the shortfall. This is how you do it. This is how you help students with lower tuition without compromising their education in the process.
(OH yes- robbing Peter to pay Paul is fine HOG business!! NDP Notley was hitting biz with new taxes such that they could not hire kids who needed to earn income to pay for their too costly and “frozen tuition” as well as supply the tax gravy for that $17 million tuition “grant” - known in some circles as a BRIBE to HOGS in exchange for their votes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Across Canada, high tuition and high debt levels are making it more difficult for students from lower income families to get the education they need. Nova Scotia students are paying the highest tuition in the country, for instance, but the average across Canada is obscenely high.

There are some bright spots. The federal government, for instance, has made funding for training a major focus of its upcoming budget. This is good news, and an example the provinces should follow.
