Testicular Bill Of Rights: Georgia Bill Would Place Restrictions On Viagra, Porn For Men

Turnabout is fair play: In response to anti-abortion legislation, new proposed legislation in Georgia would place restrictions on Viagra and porn for men, as well as classifying sex without a condom as “aggravated assault.”
Georgia lawmaker Dar’shun Kendrick is proposing a new “Testicular Bill Of Rights.” The new legislation would force men “to obtain permission from their sexual partner before obtaining a prescription for Viagra,” among other things.
Georgia state Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick’s “Testicular Bill Of Rights” would require men to get approval from their partner before obtaining erectile dysfunction medication, bans vasectomies, and would consider it aggravated assault if a man had sex without using a condom.
Kendrick announced her tongue-in-cheek proposal via Twitter:
Ggggooooodddd morning! Introducing my “testicular bill of rights” legislative package. You want some regulation of bodies and choice? Done! pic.twitter.com/5E8HBRSc9l
— Dar’shun Kendrick (@DarshunKendrick) March 11, 2019
In addition to a 24-hour waiting period for men to purchase any porn or sex toys in Georgia, the legislation would also mandate DNA testing once a woman is six weeks and one day pregnant to “determine the father of the child who shall IMMEDIATELY start paying child support.”
When asked about her proposed legislation, Kendrick told Rolling Stone:
I’m dead serious.
Kendrick says she expects a draft of the new legislation her desk by the end of the week. As for the reason behind the legislation, Kendrick says she wants to “bring awareness to the fact that if you’re going to legislate our bodies, then we have every right to propose legislation to regulate yours.”

There is no a Right to abortion.

It was only decriminalized. That doesn't make it a Right.

Have a nice day.

I can see the rationale to the argument on both sides, a child born as a result of rape or incest might end up bearing the brunt of the mother's blame, not to mention bearing the downside of inbreeding. Where the mother's life is in mortal danger, I think it's a given. Otherwise I take the side of the child who hasn't been given a chance to have a say.

This is hilarious. Members of The Satanic Temple don't really believe in Satan.
Though the organization is described as dedicated to Satanic practice and promotion of Satanic rights, it's actually a progressive political organization that sees the biblical Satan as a metaphor, and their mission as rebellion against tyranny.

Satanic Temple Sues Missouri Over Abortion Rights – and Could Win

The case shows that religious-freedom laws can be used to argue for – or against – pretty much anything.

On its face, it sounds like the epitome of a frivolous, if not blasphemous, lawsuit: A group of Satanists in Missouri sued the state over its strict anti-abortion laws on religious-discrimination grounds. A state trial court agreed, sort of, dismissing the case not long after it was filed in 2015.

But skepticism about The Satanic Temple's suit against Gov. Eric Greitens, a Republican, and Show-Me State administrators ended when the Satanists appealed, the state Supreme Court agreed to take the case – and, based on the arguments presented in court, experts say the Satanists could actually win.

If they prevail in the case, an organization named for the Dark Lord of the Underworld could upend a 2016 law requiring women to wait 72 hours before an abortion, forcing doctors to give women ultrasounds of the fetus and offering them literature declaring that "life begins at conception."

Although the state's highest court won't rule for several weeks, the group has already claimed a big victory: It says the state did a 180 on the ultrasounds during oral arguments, acknowledging that they're voluntary and not mandatory.

"It's kind of ironic," says Mary Ziegler, a Florida State University law professor who specializes in women's rights issues. "This is showing that people on both sides of the political spectrum can use religious freedom" to challenge laws they don't like.

Adding to the irony: Members of The Satanic Temple don't really believe in Satan.

Vermont Passes Pro-Choice Bill Declaring Pregnancy Termination A “Fundamental Right”

The bill H. 57 in Vermont cleared its final hurdle a few days ago, thrusting the state into a national debate over the unborn. The bill is called the “most radical anti-life legislation in the nation”, as it declares that ending pregnancy is a “fundamental right” and it cannot be infringed.
It is now heading to the desk of the state’s Republican governor Phil Scott, who, even though is pro-choice, is not known whether will sign it or not.
The bill’s text says that the State of Vermont recognizes the fundamental right of every individual who becomes pregnant to choose to carry a pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to end that pregnancy.
The bill additionally says that the state’s public entities shall “not interfere with an individual’s fundamental rights” to “choose to carry a pregnancy to term, to give birth to a child, or to end that pregnancy”, and it defines public entity as the “Executive, Legislative, or Judicial Branch of State Government”.

Abortion and Judeo-Christian Religion

The Bible is Pro Choice
While, again, whatever the Bible does or does not say about abortion should not be relevant to public policy issues, because so many people do believe in the Bible to be the inerrant and infallible word of their god, and cite it (in error) as their basis for opposing women’s rights of reproductive self determination, this section is presented to address the concerns and questions of those whose religious tradition does include belief in the Bible and who let that influence their views on women’s reproductive freedom.
Why are some conservative Christians, who claim the Bible as their sole moral authority, so opposed to abortion?
While abortion was well known and written about in ancient Hebrew times (some in favor, some against), the Bible itself is completely silent on the subject of abortion.
None of the other writings from that era, either supporting or opposing abortion, including those cited by those opposed to abortion, made it into the Bible, and citing such sources only reiterates that abortion was known to those in Bible times, yet still unmentioned by the Bible writers.
No specific passage in the Bible either encourages or discourages abortion.

Do you kill mosquitoes, spiders, or any other living thing? Do you eat meat or vegetables? Is it excused if someone else kills it for you?

You cannot exist in this world without killing something. The 6th commandment doesn't specify humans. And who has the right to impose their religious beliefs on others? Not everybody is a christian. The history of Christianity is littered with dead bodies.

How many unwanted children that were born because some self righteous religious person forced a woman to go to term have you raised?

Your response reminded me of when I studied Bloom's Taxonomy.

Too phucking cowardly to answer the questions, eh Wally. We all know what a coward you are. Can't even stand up for your draconian beliefs.
