9 months before the first Primary. Who was leading the polls for the Republicans in May 2015. Jeb Bush, as i remember, by a long shot. He drew in a lot of money and, no results where the rubber hit the road in Iowa.

If you look way back to 2007 you will find a younger more vibrant Hillary Clinton with a huge lead in the Democrats primaries until upset by an up and coming Jr. Senator from Illinois.

Which is why the DNC created the Super Delegate. No longer would the Democrat Establishment have to tolerate the will of it's base. By voter suppression, racism, and Super Delegates the Democrat Establishment was able to defeat Sanders and crown Hillary.
