Once upon a time I saw a 6th grade kid in a shopping mall discussing his allowance with a parent.............
And the kid says: "I have 6 ten dollar bills and 1 five dollar bill, so how much money is that:????????
And parent is clearly disturbed at this lack of cash counting ability and asks the kid: "how much is 6 times ten"????????????????
And the SIXTH GRADE kid spreads out his fingers and starts counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And then RE-starts counting....................................
FOUR TRIES LATER the sixth grade kid comes up with the answer: $55.00??????????????????????????????

TORONTO — A former Ontario high school principal pleaded guilty on Friday to professional misconduct after tampering with a standardized provincial literacy test.
Christine Vellinga admitted in an agreed statement of facts with the Ontario College of Teachers that she went though student booklets after the test in March 2016 to see who hadn’t completed the work.
The college heard that in total, 21 students were then called back in to complete unfinished portions of the test or an accompanying questionnaire.
“(Vellinga) recognizes the serious nature of her breach and sincerely regrets her actions and the consequences of her actions on the students staff and board,” Vellinga’s lawyer, Kim Patenaude, told the college disciplinary committee hearing the case on Friday.
“She was honest, upfront and forthcoming (throughout the investigation) admitting her actions and taking full responsibility,” Patenaude added.
(This is LIE-beral speak meaning investigators caught her red handed and she is guilty as SIN- with NO defence so she is being “cooperative”!)
Vellinga was responsible for administering the Ontario Secondary School Literacy Test to about 170 students at her Bradford, Ont., school that year, the committee heard.

After the test, Vellinga leafed through one student’s answer booklet, trying to find loose multiple choice and questionnaire pages.
Vellinga saw the student had left some questions unanswered and began looking through other students’ booklets for unfinished tests, instructing her acting vice-principal and two teachers to do the same.
Vellinga identified which unfinished tests belonged to which students by cross-referencing bar codes on the booklet with a master list of names, the committee heard. She then had the school secretary call students back in to complete the test, in some cases calling their homes or their parents’ cellphones.
The 21 students who came back to school were led to an office area where they were each instructed to finish specific parts of the test. Vellinga told at least one student, “You were never here,” the committee heard.
(Saying “you were never here” to a kid clearly signals she knew she was breaking rules but figured nobody would ever catch her for it- which IS A COMMON teacher assumption!)
Vellinga was under a “significant amount of work-related stress” in the weeks leading up to the incident, the statement of facts said.
A supply teacher at her school had been charged with assault, and Vellinga had been experiencing problems with a student who had created a public petition and a social media post complaining about her, the statement of facts said.
Vellinga was suspended without pay for 20 days and demoted to vice-principal after allegations of the test tampering surfaced, the committee heard.
(School principals are now being selected for their skill in hushing up problems rather than for their ability to teach kids! One has only to think of the investigation into the murder of Jordan Manners on TDSB school property- while looking into the Manner murder cops uncovered evidence of a rape that had been hushed up!)
(A Muslim girl had been dragged into a washroom by a gang of black kids and forced to perform sex acts. Later after school hours a teacher found the girl wandering the hallways in a distraught condition and took her to the principal- who talked to the girl and decided the best thing was to SAY NOTHING OF WHAT HAPPENED! Yeah- the female principal decided that the best course of action was to IGNORE a team of rapists operating in her school! So much for any concern for the welfare of other kids!)
Vellinga and the college came to an agreement Friday that she should receive an official reprimand from the college, have her certificate of qualification suspended for six months and complete a course on ethical practices within 90 days of the disciplinary hearing’s decision.
(Stephen Levitt- author of the book Freakonomics told us of his experience with the Chicago school system regarding teacher test cheats. Levitt was brought in to devise ways of identifying teachers who were cheating on the new city wide literacy tests. As a result of his work- fully 25 percent of all teachers in that system were formally warned of legal consequences if they got caught cheating in future and 5 percent of teachers were FIRED due to the over the top cheating! Fully 25 percent of all kids in the Chicago school system had to re-write the test in order to get HONEST RESULTS!)
(Cdn school teachers are also systematically undermining our literacy test by designating ever more kids as “learning disabled” and thus not eligible to write the test- with obvious influence on test scores! Our teachers have far too much leeway in excusing kids from the test- for their own benefit! Cdn school officials have NEVER conducted the sort of audit that our Yankee counterparts have done! Such a test of the teachers is BADLY OVER DUE in Canada!!!!)

COPENHAGEN — A pro-government lawmaker says Danish plans to banish rejected asylum seekers or those with a criminal record to a remote island may breach international law — but added that his party doesn’t “mind challenging international conventions.”
(Yes- conventions established by anti white bigots and shameless vote buying LIE-berals do not DESERVE RESPECT!)
Martin Henriksen of the anti-immigration Danish People’s Party, which supports the centre-right government, told The Associated Press Tuesday that the government’s move “is a signal to the world that Denmark is not attractive” for migrants.
The isolated island of Lindholm was until this summer a laboratory facility for the state Veterinary Institute researching contagious animal diseases.
From 1926 until earlier this year, cattle and pigs suspected of having contagious diseases were brought to the island, some 80 kilometres (50 miles) south of Copenhagen, to be tested.
The plan, adopted Friday by the government and the Danish People’s Party that between them hold a majority in parliament, is to decontaminate the uninhabited island by late 2019 and open facilities for some 100 people in 2021.
The facilities would house migrants who have been denied asylum but cannot be deported, and those with criminal records.
(In other words Danes are starting to think of Quarantining the worst of illegals as if they were a sort of social disease! Considering the life and times of the Toronto Danforth Shooter and his drug dealing family - calling them social disease is a FAIR ASSESSMENT! Human rights activists have denounced the decision, calling it degrading and inhumane.

Denmark has two deportation centres — north of Copenhagen and in western Denmark — which Hartmann called “inhumane and terrible.”
Henriksen, an immigration hardliner, said Denmark’s decision was somewhat inspired by Australia, which is paying neighbouring Pacific island nations to hold asylum -seekers who have attempted to reach Australian shores.
(I guess the obsolete Australian rocket test range that had been used to hold illegals deep in the out back IS FULL so govt must find new facilities!!!)
In recent years, Denmark has tightened its laws for immigrants, extending from one year to three the period that family members must wait before they can join a refugee in Denmark, reducing benefits for asylum-seekers, shortening temporary residence permits and stepping up efforts to deport those whose applications are rejected.
(It is no wonder the Danes are feeling overwhelmed! Australia is far harder to get to and yet it has the same problem with illegals invading their territory!!!!!!)
In 2016, a law allowed the country’s authorities to seize valuables from migrants to help finance the costs of their stay. Danish citizens also must sell valuables worth more than 10,000 kroner ($1,520) before they can receive any government welfare benefits.

LOS ANGELES — The Hallmark Channel cut ties Thursday with favoured star Lori Loughlin, a day after her arrest in a college admissions scam put the family-friendly network and extended Hallmark brand in uncomfortable proximity to a national scandal.
“We are saddened by the recent allegations surrounding the college admissions process,” Hallmark Cards Inc., parent company of the Crown Media Family Networks group that includes the Hallmark Channel, said in a statement.
“We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin” and have stopped development of all productions with the actress for Crown Media channels, the statement said.
The company initially took a wait-and-see approach after a federal investigation of the scam involving more than 30 parents, many of them prominent, was revealed Tuesday. Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, are accusedof paying bribes to gain their daughters’ college admissions.
Loughlin’s career and the Hallmark Channel were deeply intertwined. She’s been among its so-called “Christmas queens” who topline a slate of popular holiday movies, and also starred in the ongoing “Garage Sale Mysteries” movies and the series “When Calls the Heart.”

“It’s a feel-good, family values-type channel, and obviously scandal is the opposite of that,” said Atlanta-based market strategist Laura Ries.
There was more at stake than image. “When Calls the Heart” tapes in Canada, and a judge ordered Loughlin’s passport to be surrendered in December after grudgingly allowing her to cross the border for work until then.
Loughlin has not yet entered a plea in the case, and her attorney declined comment Wednesday after her first appearance in a Los Angeles federal court. Loughlin’s publicist declined comment Thursday on Hallmark’s decision to drop her.
In another coincidence, cosmetics company Sephora says it’s dropping its social-media relationship with Loughlin’s daughter, Olivia Jade Giannulli, after her parents were charged in a bribery scheme to get her into college.
Paris-based Sephora says in a statement Thursday that after reviewing the developments, the company has ended its partnership with 19-year-old Giannulli “effective immediately.”
Giannulli is a social media star with millions of followers and frequently pushes products online.
Loughlin wasn’t exclusive to Hallmark. She’s reprised her role as Aunt Becky for Netflix’s “Fuller House” reboot of the popular series that originated in 1987 on ABC. But the sitcom represents a fraction of the streamer’s flood of programs, while Loughlin has occupied an increasing amount of Hallmark real estate since she starred in “Meet My Mom” in 2010.
She’s proved a reliable performer. Her 2018 holiday movie, “Homegrown Christmas,” was the most-watched non-sports cable program the week it aired. In February, the season six premiere of “When Calls the Heart” was watched by a series-best 2.5 million viewers, putting it behind only “The Walking Dead” in Sunday night cable dramas.
“They definitely have a formula and you do have to follow the formula. And if you don’t, they rein you back in and say, ’You have to follow. This is our format, this is what we do,”’ Loughlin said in an interview last year with The Associated Press about the Christmas movies.

But the white-collar crime Loughlin is accused of is akin to that of another unlikely scofflaw: Martha Stewart, who was convicted in 2004 of obstructing justice and lying to the government about a stock sale.
“She lost trust,” said Robert Passikoff, president of Brand Keys, a New York-based brand research firm. So did her empire, despite Stewart’s efforts to separate her personal actions from it: “Wrong — you’re the brand,” he said.
While Stewart may exemplify her business, Loughlin wasn’t the only engaging star on Hallmark’s roster. “Full House” co-star Candace Cameron Bure and Lacey Chabert are among its popular holiday movie stars, and another emerged this year as Kellie Pickler’s “Christmas At Graceland” ranked as the most-watched entry.

An irate mom is suing Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman for their part in the alleged college cheating scam.
Jennifer Kay Toy is looking for $500 billion in damages by claiming that her son was denied a spot as a result.
Toy filed a class-action suit in San Francisco County Superior Court on March 13, accusing the defendants of inflicting emotional distress, civil conspiracy and fraud.
Toy says her son Joshua Toy had a good work ethic and made sacrifices – he had a 4.2 GPA upon graduating high school and applied to “some” of the colleges involved in the scandal.
She alleges that he did not get accepted as a result.

Toy wrote: “Joshua and I believed that he’d had a fair chance just like all other applicants but did not make the cut for some undisclosed reason. I’m now aware of the massive cheating scandal wherein wealthy people conspired with people in positions of power and authority at colleges in order to allow their children to gain access to the very colleges that Joshua was rejected from,”
The angry mom alleges she raised her son, Joshua, with a good work ethic, and made various sacrifices over the years to ensure he would get into a good college. She claims he had a 4.2 GPA upon graduating high school and applied to “some” of the colleges involved in the scandal — but did not get accepted.

Abraham Lincoln, when informed that Gen. Ulysses S. Grant was a drunk, famously asked Grant’s accusers what whisky he was drinking so Lincoln could send a barrel to every general in the army. Keep this in mind when U.S. President Donald Trump’s critics accuse him of “racism” against blacks.
Under this “racist” president, black unemployment, since the government began keeping numbers, hit an all-time low in May. Polls show that inner-city parents want choice in education: specifically, they want the means to opt out of sending their children to an under-performing government school the child has been mandated to attend.
(This one of the great divides for parents! Some want to blame white privilege for all failings. Other parents are too busy chasing up their kids and making sure they are as fully motivated and organized as possible to take maximum advantage of the educational options available!)
Think tanks on the left (like the Brookings Institution) and think tanks on the right (like the Heritage Foundation) pretty much agree on the formula to escape poverty: finish high school; get married before having a child; and do not have that child before you are financially capable of assuming that responsibility.
But what about the quality of that high school education? A 2004 Fordham Institute study found 44% of Philadelphia public-school teachers with school-age children of their own placed them in private schools. By 2013, the nationwide average for private-school attendance was 11% of white families and 5% of black families.
(As I have said in the past- if parents had the option of sending their kids to an easily afforded private school- with greater discipline and control over kids, a great many of parents WOULD shun the public school system! Many parents hold a very sour perception of our public school performance!)
(It is my understanding that there is often a rather lower rate of violence and bullying at Ontari-owe Catholic schools because they have the ability to reject kids who cause to much trouble! Public schools are not so fortunate- and given a choice between pay raises for teachers and special ed classes for troublemakers- pay raises take priority and too many of our kids are being abandoned to try to learn in a violent and disruptive atmosphere!)
About choice in education, Trump’s secretary of education, Betsy DeVos, said: “What can be done about (improving primary education) is empowering parents to make the choices for their kids. Any family that has the economic means and the power to make choices is doing so for their children.”
(The first sensible steps are the obvious ones- a good nights rest, clean clothes, a decent breakfast and imparting a clear understanding to the kid that the parents consider good behaviour in school to be vitally important- and that bad behaviour will be punished!)
(It all sounds so simple- so how do so many city public schools fall apart? Shall we blame bad parents? We know that children raised in single parent homes struggle more through life! Or should we blame LIE-berals whose habit of excusing stupid behaviour and going light on crime is creating a climate of fear and desperation in too many cities? I say we should we point fingers of blame at BOTH- the bad parents and muddle headed LIE-berals!)
(And there is blame to spare for crap teachers who refuse to honestly admit what is going on at their work places! Either teachers must isolate disruptive and violence prone kids for the sake of those who can learn- but too often teachers cry POOR and claim such separation is unaffordable! Or teachers must step forward and implement sensible DISCIPLINE on bad apples! Yet teachers REFUSE punishment for fear of lawsuits from bigoted parents- backed up by LIE-berals- and teachers rely on the old standby- keeping kids after school as they have busses to catch! This means NO discipline of any sort in our schools!)
(Why is it that teachers do not speak honestly about disruptive influences and why do they not keep statistics on kids who dont ever complete assignments and do not attend class on any regular basis? The kid cannot learn if not in class!)
(Maybe it is time to KEEP KIDS in school till such time as they can pass a standard literacy test? LIE-berals often tell us we must be sympathetic to criminals because they are sad failures in life- usually ILL EDUCATED high school drop outs - so why not keep kids in school till they can pass a literacy test? Keeping kids in school till high school diploma was achieved would be “carrot and stick” - you cannot leave till you achieve!!!!!!!!)
A 2016 poll in “Education Next” found 64% of blacks supported “a tax credit for individual and corporate donations that pay for scholarships to help low-income parents send their children to private schools.” Similarly, A 2015 PDK/Gallup Poll found 68% of blacks wanted the ability to “choose which public schools in the community the students attend, regardless of where they live.”
(In other words a whole lot of parents want to send their kids to the kind of orderly, logical school I have envisioned!)
Trump also wants to stop illegal immigration. Why should that matter to urban blacks?
(I recall the case of a kindly middle class, liberal minded couple living near Parkdale-Toronto- they had reached middle 40`s and had assumed they would never have kids! But surprise- out of the blue they had a boy- and that made for PROBLEMS!)
(The couple lived in a very nicely renovated town house in an area noted for some ROUGH territories! And they DID NOT want their boy going to the local schools!
If they stayed in the area with the addicts and immigrants then their kid would have to go to a private school and damn the cost! If they moved to a better area with better quality schools then the cost of housing would be prohibitive!)
(And there was that liberal GUILT at not wanting their child to go slumming with immigrants chosen by LIE-berals! Besides- we all know that schools in poor areas too often have LOW academic standards and this couple was white collar and expected their child to be as well! )
(There was also the issue of who the kid would come in contact with while traveling to school! The couple considered there were too many drug addicts and hookers etc on the way to the local school where they lived! And what white collar academically oriented parent would want their child to be the only white face in a sea of immigrant kids who mostly don’t speak English! Such parents want their kid to go someplace with HIGH academic standards and with well motivated and disciplined students! And a lot of black parents feel the same way about their kids and school choices- but cannot attain such privileges for their kids!!!!!)
Harvard economist George Borjas, in his 2013 research paper “Immigration and the American Worker,” wrote: “Classifying workers by education level and age and comparing differences across groups over time shows that a 10% increase in the size of an education/age group due to the entry of immigrants (both legal and illegal) reduces the wage of native-born men in that group by 3.7% and the wage of all native-born workers by 2.5%.”
As to illegal immigration, Borjas says: “Although the net benefits to natives from illegal immigrants are small, there is a sizable redistribution effect. Illegal immigration reduces the wage of native workers by an estimated (US)$99 to $118 billion a year, and generates a gain for businesses and other users of immigrants of $107 to $128 billion.”
(To translate that we can turn to StatisticsCanada- which tells us that illegals reduce the wage offered to a typical high school grad by 20 percent! And in Canada where high quality LEGAL immigrants with university qualifications are the norm- the wage offered to Cdn university grads has also been reduced by 20 percent!)
But what about how the president “insults black people”?
After Trump’s recent testy exchange with a black reporter, CNN’s Jeffrey Toobin said: “There is a racial dimension to this. The fact that the president is always — the idea that this was some random selection of journalists he doesn’t like is not the case. It’s always black people with this president.” Really?
What race was Robert De Niro when Trump called him “a very low IQ individual”? What race was Rosie O’Donnell when Trump called her “dumb”? What race was MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough when Trump called him “crazy”? What race was former Texas Gov. Rick Perry when, during a campaign speech, Trump mocked him for his eyewear? “He put on glasses so people think he’s smart. …” said Trump. “People can see through the glasses.” What race was MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski when Trump called her “dumb as a rock”? How many white politicians does Trump slam when he criticizes “stupid” trade deals?
If Trump set out to hurt blacks by pushing economic policies that helped reduce black unemployment to an all-time low; by attempting to stop unskilled illegal alien workers from competing with unskilled blacks for jobs and wages; and by empowering inner-city black parents, rather than the government, to pick the school for their children, then Trump needs to go back to racism school.

MADISON, N.J. — A New Jersey sports official is apologizing for telling student athletes that Adolf Hitler was a “good leader” with “bad moral character and intentions.”
Nutley High School athletic director Joe Piro made the remark while addressing Madison High School students Saturday during an assembly aimed at promoting positive leadership.
Piro tells NJ.com he was trying to make a point that “a leader could have strong leadership skills that influence people in a negative way.” He says he understands “Hitler was an evil man who used his skills in a horrific manner.”
The district’s superintendent said in a letter sent to parents that the speaker’s presentation was “unnecessarily provocative and insensitive.”

FORT MEADE, Md. — A Maryland middle school teacher is accused of slamming a door on a student’s hand so hard that three of her fingers were severed.
The Capital Gazette reports a lawsuit filed by the child’s father accuses the Ann Arundel County Board of Education and former teacher Steven Akers of negligence. Court documents filed this month in the 2018 lawsuit reveal new details about the girl’s injuries, which they say left permanent discomfort and nerve damage despite surgery.
The family says the girl was asking Akers a question in 2017 when he slammed a door to get the class’ attention.
County prosecutor Philip Culpepper says the girl was looking out of a window when Akers unintentionally hurt her. Schools spokesman Bob Mosier says Akers resigned in 2018.
“She was in the process of trying to teach herself how to play the piano but has had to discontinue that pursuit,” wrote attorney Stephen Campen, who is representing the family in the lawsuit, according to the Capital Gazette.

Education protesters ignore financial reality

The reason for the protests in the education sector against Ontario Premier Doug Ford and the Progressive Conservatives is easy to understand.
(The battle is one of greed versus reality! As I have previously noted- many of the student protestors are the over privileged kids of civil service union Hogs mindlessly protesting on behalf of their grossly entitled parents!! And neither the selfish kids nor the ENTITLED parents care that the province is BANKRUPT!!!!!!!!!!)
It’s because they’re trying to fix problems former Liberal premier Kathleen Wynne and her government failed to address.
Specifically, that costs in the education sector have been rising while enrolment and academic quality have been falling, with more than half of Grade 6 students, for example, failing to meet the provincial standard in math.
The myth that education in Ontario has been grossly underfunded over the years, created and sustained by the teacher unions, is simply inaccurate.
(Lets get it straight here- that school funding has been rising 50 percent faster than health care funding under LIE-berals- this in spite of ever increasing numbers of patients at hospitals and steadly dropping numbers of students- and we thank Sun writer Christina Blizzard for her article on this gross funding disparity!!!!!!!!!!!)
In 2017, the Fraser Institute, a conservative think tank, examined per student spending in Ontario public elementary and secondary schools over the previous decade.
Accounting for inflation, spending rose by 23.4% from $10,762 to $13,276 per student in constant dollars, while enrolment dropped by 110,000 students, or by 5.2%.
(AS noted- the Blizzard article indicates the funding disparity is 50 percent during the period of McGinty/Wynne-bag rule - not 25 percent as Fraser researchers claim- the disparity explained apparently by looking at either shorter or longer time periods- such as the last 10 years- versus the last 15 years!!!!)
Despite that, the number of teachers in the system increased by 14,000, to 126,000.
(This 14,000 teacher increase gives the LIE to the HOG assertion that smaller class sizes improves education results!! It also indicates how badly LIE-beral immigration choices are impacting our schools and reducing academic standards as people with NO English skills and seriously crap attitudes towards western culture and alleged white “privilege” flood into our country!!!!!!!!!!!)
Given that education is the second-largest expense in the provincial budget ($29.1 billion, or 18.3% of all spending last year, excluding the teacher pension plan) after health care ($61.3 billion or 38.7%), the status quo is unsustainable.
Especially with 15 years of wanton Liberal spending having left Ontario as one of the world’s most indebted, non-national governments.
LILLEY: The ‘deep cuts’ in education are anything but
Ontario’s teacher unions have fought against every provincial government of every political stripe, and disrupted the education of students in order to protest, for decades.
This includes during the NDP government of 1990-1995 led by Bob Rae; the Progressive Conservative governments from 1995-2003 led by Mike Harris and Ernie Eves and the Liberal governments from 2003-2018 led by Dalton McGuinty and Kathleen Wynne.
Predictably, the protests against Ford’s government have already started, after just 10 months in power.
(OH! The protests STARTED when Pat Brown became party leader! There are those in the voting community who sincerely believe the Pat Brown alleged sex scandal was nothing more than a VERY CUNNING AND EFFECTIVE LIE-beral SMEAR! The protests against Conservatives have only ramped up since then!!!!!!!!)
The problem in education is that the status quo is not an option, lest government policy ends up fitting the definition of insanity, which is to keep doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.
(In the lead in to the election of Ford we were WARNED by international bond rating services that electing another LIE-beral govt would trigger major PENALTIES from bankers worried about the size of the Ontari-owe debt! We are at the debt wall and the ONLY thing standing between us and chaotic bankruptcy is the Ford govt and its efforts to get finances under some semblance of control!!!!!!!!!)
The usual suspects aligned against the Ford government want the Progressive Conservatives to keep throwing good money after bad into what is clearly a broken and inefficient template for funding education.
To help address this, the government intends to reduce the total number of teaching positions in Ontario schools by 3,475 over four years through attrition, not layoffs, saving taxpayers $851 million.
It’s true this means fewer teachers will have to work harder to improve dismal academic results in critical subjects like math, with the caveat they will need proper academic training to do so, which has been lacking for years.
Fixing the fiscal and academic problems plaguing public education that the Ford government inherited from the Liberals isn’t going to be easy.
But it has to be done and it must start now.
(It is quite easy to argue that teachers have made this mess by so relentlessly selling their votes to LIE-berals in exchange for gobs of gravy!! And now as a result of that LIE-beral vote buying, we have major crime rates that will require costly and aggressive solutions- more cops and more jails! We have a rapidly growing under class of illegals and badly selected immigrants who cannot survive without govt aid over a period of decades! WE have a home grown population of ethnic voters who blame “white privilege” for all the problems of their lives- while ignoring the reality that getting a good education is the road to a good job and better life!! Teachers and LIE-berals are catering to those who think that being good in school is “selling out to white society”!! In a country were over 75 percent of all jobs require post secondary education- what are we to do with people who never even graduated from high school?????????)
